Sandi (finfansand) | 54 comments Would it be fun to be married to a man so loathsome you'd rather he spend all day with his bees and in the garden? Ugh! The horrors! Can't imagine what it would be like to have to marry just for security; compatibility has got to count for something!!! Charlotte Lucas has got to be one of the saddest women in literature...

Still, the board game can be fun, but it's really only for true die-hard Janeites! Everyone in this group would love it but our friends would think we're nuts!

Real life - NEVER!
And well I know I would love it and I want it!!
What are the questions like? About book or film?

Mimi (juleseemimi) | 95 comments When...the ringer for your phone is the theme song to P&P (1995, of course). That's not crazy, right?

The questions are about the book. For ex: "When Eliza enters the drawing room at Netherfield, she finds the whole party at loo, meaning a) dancing; b) playing cards; or c) using the chamber pots." You won't believe how many times people I've played against chose c!

Yes! For me it has been "fancy" and "we are to dine with ..." - I love it!

Leah (princessleia) | 87 comments You look at dresses and wonder how much it would have cost to have been made out of muslin instead.

message 64: by Karly (new)

Karly (vannightingale) | 1 comments You use phrases from the books and movies in everyday life ("scandolously patched up marriage" "what a shame for I dearly love to laugh") much to the other person's confusion

Sophie | 1458 comments Guilty ;)
