R2 TEAM THREAD: Team #3 Triple Threat [SECOND PLACE]

I read The Calling by JA, it's confusing though as the series is written by a few different authors. The second book is by Robin T Popp, I've been trying to get a copy but it's not on kindle and they want £28 for a used copy via Amazon Marketplace. Which I'm not quite willing to spend on a used book. I could get so much more for my money and there's so many books I want to read.
I spent Saturday checking my library catologue online and reserved a few YA books, that way I don't need to buy them. Thanks to Twilight they seem to have increased their collection, at least it was good for something..
The hour long singing session seems to be finished, just the odd snore from the cotbed now. Finally I'm off to bed again. 4.54am - I'll never get used to this. Night all! :)

Not sure if anyone would like to bid in the auction but here's a list of the items you can bid for

Some of it's amazing! Well most of it to be honest :)
My son's having a bad day today so to treat myself I bought the first two Immortal Ops books - I will let you know if I like them Sandra :)

I did not get my Treey Spear book. It was missing. I won't get it now until next week, so for the shifters book I have to switch back to

Lore is a half-demon, half-human assassin who was revealed to be a long-lost brother to Eidolon, Shade, and Wraith in the previous book. He is assigned one last kill in order to save his twin sister's life and earn freedom from their master. His target is Kynan, the very life he saved in Passion Unleashed.
Idess is a Memitin or earthbound angel awaiting Ascension. She is charged with protecting Kynan because he is a Marked Sentinel. When Lore and Idess collide the sparks fly almost immediately. The chemistry between them is sizzling and the action is fast-paced and keeps you hooked until the very end.
I look forward to finding out more about Lore's sister, Sin, in the last book. She and Conall were great characters in this book as well.
Finished 3/15
★★★★

Well, that's my less-than-eloquent review. I'm a lousy writer, but whatever. LOL

I love this series aswell, I don't think you'll be disappointed with Sin's book. It was sad to see it end but you meet the first character in her Lords of Deliverence series in Sin Undone and everybody will be popping up now and again in those books. There's also a novella out (an extended version of the short in The Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance) and another one coming later in the year. So it's not completely over!
I love Wraith :)

Riley isn't for everyone, I would agree with that. She goes through a lot over the 8 books but I daresay if you didn't really enjoy this one, you might not like the rest. Most if not all of Keri's books are set in Australia, it does make a change :)

I must not of been too enamoured cause I haven't rushed out to seek the rest. Maybe I should get the 2nd one to decide. I think the library has them. Hmmm. Trouble is I have so many to read already.
Oops my addiction is showing. LOL.

Hope you give it another go, Sandra. I think you'd enjoy the series. Least I hope so, anyway.

I hope you're feeling better, migraines are nasty things.

Waiting 12+ months for a book and having it read in a day, then having to wait another #+ months?! Feels off to me. LOL! Glad you enjoyed it!

And Sassy has read River Marked for Freespace.

Oh well! Gena Showalters demon & alien books are so good, I was disappointed in the vampire's bride, but what do you expect from her early series.
I am going through my Alexandra Ivy books nox, and can't put them down.

Once again, I've got the Ivy books and should start them. LOL.

OOps! I forgot! March 17th, 2011. You are right, it does matter what I am into at the time what I rate a book!

I wasn't too keen on this series to be honest, I think I stopped reading around book 3? I'm the same way with the Alien ones aswell. Pick them up for challenges if needed.
I'm reading

How many have you read Amy?

I must not of been too enamo..."
I liked Riley and I was sad to see it end but it was one of the few series that ended well. There is potential for spin-off's though.
I loved the fact that there had been genetic manipulation going on. Lots of suprises in this one and prior to this series I never thought I would enjoy a "horse shifter" but lo and behold I fell in love with Kade :)
If you ever find the time, give it a try. I think Steph may be right and you'd like them.

I'm going to give it ★★★★.
I liked the character relationships and the deeper development of the relationships between the characters of the first book. I particularly liked the one between Nash (the Sheriff) and Maya (the electrician). Janet and Mick's developed as well and some background about Mick is revealed.
My favorite character continues to be Coyote but the addition of Colby to the series may challenge that.
As with all UF series, the progress on the overall storyline - Janet's big, bad mother trying to take over the world - is continued S-L-O-W-L-Y. I enjoyed the character development but just wanted the story to go much faster. Not that the book is a slow read, I did read the book quite quickly, I just wanted the story pace to move more quickly.
I'll continue to read the series when the next one comes out, but I'm hoping to find some major storyline answers.
Book Completed: March 16, 2011

Thanks Michelle, I am feeling better finally, I'm not sure what is worse, the migraines or the 3 day hangover you get after it

See it wasn't hard to do a review at all. LOL. If you don't want to do one that long, a couple of lines is sufficient for Bingo.

Go Team!!!

We still need 4 more reads for a stamp.

I must not ..."
I loved Kade too! Him and his harem of honeys. LOL!

This is the 5th Breeds series book, the tale of Kiowa Bear and Amanda Marion, the daughter of the President. On the face of it an unlikely pair, yet Kiowa, a security expert has been watching Amanda for a week as Secret Service backup, and fallen deep in love even if he doesn't recognise it yet. The Bill to pass Breed Law is about to be voted on and politics raises its ugly head.
The usual happens and both fall in love and Kiowa is very pleased to discover that Amanda likes her sex with a bit of kink. Kiowa is one hawt coyote.
The problem of the inept Secret Service & inside information is not even touched on again and I think this is detrimental to the story.
Overall, solid 3.5 and looking forward to the next one.
