Happy Reading!! :)
Yay, thanks Steph, a happy surprise! For the Shifter Shelf I'll be reading
I've been reading the Breed series in order and this is the next one.
I've read the first 3 Breed books, I think. I came across a short in an Anthology I recently read and was tempted to pick them up again. For the Shifter Shelf I will be reading
I was hopeful the new shelf would be going up today, squeezed in another book this morning and should get this read today too. It's snowing again so I'm staying in with the kids. Looking forward to seeing what everyone decides to read :)
Michelle, you're updated. Yes it will be interesting, my shifter shelf is called Shifters, so I had plenty to pick from. LOLRegarding Breeds, I'd read quite a few of the latest ones and enjoyed them and thought I'd go back and see where it all began. The latest ones are definitely better written as LL has gained more experience but I'm still enjoying the early ones.
Thanks Sandra! That's interesting, my shelves are sorted by author rather than book type or content and I keep a note of when I read a book. I've recently been enjoying Lora Leigh's Elite Ops series, I have 2 sitting waiting patiently to be read. I found these to be a companion to the Tempting Seals series she wrote a few years back. I would agree, she has got better. Have you tried any of the Bound Hearts books?
Nici, I hope you enjoy Pride, that was a series I was sad to see end!
I finished Night Embrace (Dark-Hunter, #2) for the part of a series shelf last night. This is another series, like the Black Dagger Brotherhood, that I don't know why it took me so long to get around to reading it. I love Kenyon's writing style and the Dark Hunter world she has created in these books. I really enjoy how she weaves the history and mythology in a modern storyline. This was Sunshine and Talon's story and, while it is not my favorite so far, it kept me interested for the most part. The middle of the book was a little slow-going for me, but it picked back up by the end. The secondary characters introduced in this book were interesting, especially Zarek. His story should be intriguing. Finished 3/11
★★★★

I've got author shelves also Michelle, but I've also got various major groups like shifters, vampires, dragons, fantasy etc. Makes life easy if I need a certain kind of book and it doesn't matter who wrote it.
I've seen those other series she wrote around but I haven't tried any of them yet. Are they good?
@Amanda, glad you liked Night Embrace. I've read a few of that series, but not Sunshine & Talon's story. Although from memory she was pretty crazy, it should of been a very entertaining read.

The Tempting Seals series was ok, most of them are really short so it didn't take much reading and a few had little to no plot. However the first Elite Ops book was the exact opposite, don't get me wrong there was smut but the plot was amazing. I like to step away from PNR/UF and I do like my Special Ops soldiers :) I haven't tried the Bound Hearts series yet although I have a couple. I didn't like the first Nauti book.
is the first Elite Ops book.@Amanda - I do like that series too. Talon's wasn't my favourite but I did like Elizabeth? And yes, Zarek's book is a good one!
I'll read
for my shifter book. If only I waited a week to read Iron Kissed by Patricia Briggs, since I just finished that a few days ago. LOL

I was thinking the same thing! Quite a few of us read River Marked last week too :)
I almost picked River Marked for this shelf, but I already had Ecstasy Unveiled in a challenge so I went with it. Too many good ones to choose from! :-)

Thanks Michelle...I love this series too!
I read my book for the Shifters shelf.
This is the 2nd book in Jennifer Ashley's Shifters Unbound series. In the first book I found I was more interested in the secondary characters rather than the main couple. This one did not disappoint! I would highly recommend this series, the shifters are out in the open but the humans didn't react too well and make the Shifters wear collars that cause them pain if they do harm to others. It's an interesting world, this one has Feline & Lupine shifters and the Fae make an appearance.
I gave this one ★★★★★

I bought her book on accident trying to get an amanda ashley book. I will add her to my search list if she's good! I always look and see what people are reading and if it's good.
**Also** I am getting the last of my missing Terry Spear books delivered monday.
I did not see her books on the shifter list? If I can read them to count as shifters, I would change my book.

If you go to the book page there is a link down the righthand side and it will tell you the name of every shelf it is on, it might be easier for you to check that way.Would you recommend them?
I know Jennifer writes under a few different names but I've only read this series and one other book
There was a lot of action and fighting scenes in Primal Bonds, if you like plot to go alongside your romance then you will like them :) I love Big Cat shifters... Even more so when they have an Irish accent ;)
Steph explained how to search through all of the shelves a certain book is on in this thread. Heart of the Wolf is on the shifters shelf, so go for it! :-)
I finished Dreams of a Dark Warrior by Kresley Cole. This is the 11th book in the Immortals After Dark Series and this one is still as well written as the previous novels. This book features Regin the Radiant and her star crossed lover Adrian/Declan who are forever bound to each other but forever kept apart. Adrian is forever being reincarnated into another person every 500 years or so and Regin has pledged herself to him; always faithful and never taking another lover.
In this reincarnation Declan captures Regin and imprisons her in a Lorekind torture camp. As Regin's presence draws out Adrians memories from Declan, Declan and Regin must face their greatest fear - trusting and loving each other.
Still loving this series. I rate this one ★★★★.
Finished 3/12/11
Great work team, we've earned our first Stamp!! YAY!!!!And thanks for answering each others questions while I was asleep :) Great team work.
A couple of series I've got but haven't yet started are Demonica & Primal Bonds. So glad to hear everyone so far likes them.Haven't yet looked into Terry Spear and will have to do so if Sassy/Amy likes it.
Loved the Stormwalker series, Firewalker is even better than Stormwalker IMO. Can't wait for the 3rd one
to come out.
Sherri, love the IAD but I haven't yet read Dreams, so I'm trying not to read your review. LOL.And Michelle, I love special ops type books have you tried

Sherri, love the IAD but I haven't yet read Dreams, so I'm trying not to read your review.:-D Sandra! I try to avoid putting spoilers in my reviews since I hate spoiling anyone's enjoyment of reading the book for themselves. So not sure you would get much out of my review, besides that I liked it.
I've been avoiding reviews of Shadowfever and River Marked like the plague so I have no preconceptions before reading those books.
I'm working my way through Firewalker and am having mixed feelings on this one. Maybe the last 100 pages will help me make up my mind.
CONGRATULATIONS, Triple Threat! You now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'part-of-a-series'.
[Your new BINGO card can be viewed on page 1]
Good Job!! :D
I haven't tried the Stormwalker series yet but they do sound interesting. I always get a bit confused when authors write under different pen-names, I thought all her PNR type books where written under Jennifer Ashley and Allyson James & Ashley Gardner where Historicals, obviously not! lolI haven't tried Mandy M. Roth yet, her name keeps popping up on my Amazon recommendations but I wasn't sure. I'm intrigued now though and will most likely add them to my 'want to buy' list :)
Loving our new board! Well done everyone on the stamp, good Teamwork right enough :)

Were you asking me if Terry Spear was good? If so, ABSOLUTELY, she is. I found her by accident when I was at B&N. I was looking at someone who's book was right next to hers, and I saw her cover. I bought it just cuz. After the first one, I kept going back to get another one. I was missing some, and had to order them.
I have read them out of order and it hasn't mattered. Her scores are high & pretty much remain around the 4's +. Many of SK books don't stay near 4.
Way to go team! Can I make River Marked for Shifters and put in Once Bitten, Twice Shy for my free space?
I have to read all the Jaz Parks books because I have an ARC of her last one.
But if thats not okay then I choose Mercy Blade for my Shifters read
Michelle, you asked earlier about Allyson James/Jennifer Ashley. I've read one of her historicals under JA about pirates and it was a scream, I was very pleasantly surprised. I think it was the first of hers I had read. I've got 3 dragon ones of hers under AJ to read plus the 2 Primal Bonds. Looking forward to the all. And also finding the other pirate books. LOL.
Thanks Sandra, as usual my reading schedule is a little hectic LOL. I really need to learn to say no more often.Michelle, Allyson James StormWalker series is great - I have enjoyed both so far
