Stephenie Meyer posted on her website that the movie release date has been moved up to NOV. 21! It actually took the release date that Harry Potter had.

Yeah, I think some Potter-fans are really mad with Twilight about that.
Wait...so when is harry potter coming out? Yeah I'm a fan of Potter and all, but this is just way more exciting.
Well I love Harry Potter and Twilght and I'm seeing both so it doesn't really matter but I have to admit that I think it's fair that Twilight will come out sooner since it's so popular right now and the fanbase is phenomenal and considering that Harry Potter has 5 movies out already, I think that it can afford to have Twilight come first since this is the 1st movie of the series.
Definitely. harry Potter just needs to budge over and make room because it can't be the best forever. I'm seeing both anyways.
Harry Potter's gonna come out next year during the summer. Yikes, that's gonna be a longggg wait...
I know... But oh well at least we have 2 things to look forward to over the next year lol
Twilight actually had nothing to do with Harry Potter's move (according to press releases and such)and although I'm sure that there are many upset Harry Potter fans, I couldn't be more delighted!

#6 It's coming out July 17, 2009.I'm really happy about the Twilight movie and now I can see it for my birthday which is just two days after it comes out! Although I'm also sad cause I was planning to see HP for my b-day and now it's moved back 8 months.
I'm really excited because Twilight the movie is coming out near my birthday too. I am sad to have Harry Potter moved to next year, but if Twilight takes its place, I think I can deal with it. YAY!
Harry Potter moved because Daniel R (actor who plays Harry) is in a broadway play at that time and they wanted to work around his schedule. I LOVE HARRY POTTER and always buy my tickets in advance and have been dying to see the movie. But... I WOULD MUCH RATHER SEE TWILIGHT EARLY lol. I can wait for my Harry Potter I can't wait for my Edward and Bella

I think I'd rather wait to see Twilight than have HBP moved back 8 months. Twilight is only moved up 3 three weeks. And I was going to see two good movies three weeks from each other.This is what an article said about the delay: It had originally been scheduled to open on November 21. The studio maintained that there had been no production delays, but that the writers' strike had delayed other tentpole productions that it had hoped to have ready for the peak summer months.
You know Twilight didn't move Harry Potter back. Dan Radcilffe is in a Brodway show when it was going to come out, so they moved it back, and Twilight took it's place.
Yeah... they both look REALLY good!
