The first SRC that I did, I was completely overwhelmed and did not come close to finishing. The next couple of challenges, being by nature a competitive person, I was very focused on the challenge and finished a couple of times. I have since backed off on trying to finish each time and have instead used my task plan as a way to direct my reading. As a result, I read a wide selection of genres, although I still have some favorites, and have read some great books that I probably would not have read otherwise. I just appreciate that there are a number of ways to feel successful with this group, even if you don't finish the challenge, and am astounded and so appreciative of the commitment of the moderators who make it all work.Denise NC
I have missed SRC. I've had some serious personal stuff to wade through. Some of it was health related while others were family related. SRC has been my refuge: meeting fellow readers, expanding my reading into genres I've never ventured into or would have, and lastly a feeling of camaraderie among SRC members. I'm looking forward to my first post for the summer 2013 challenge as well as my first review. Missed everyone, especially Bea, Connie, Kristi, Shelia, Bluemoon, Wendy and well everyone!
Bea wrote: "Welcome back, Anne! Nice to see you are still here and reading."Thank ya, Bea! Missed you all tremendously. It has been a very trying time these past 8 months. Good to be back.
