Aloha | 4052 comments Thanks, Bryan! I bet we all have a picture like that floating around somewhere. You didn't think I turned out to be my splendorous self overnight? Like Tressa said, we should all post an awkward picture worthy of some laughs. I bet we'll get a lot of braces pictures. I'd like to see pictures of braces that wraps around your head.

Aloha | 4052 comments Tressa, I read subway ads like its a Physics equation, since I'm interested in how they compose an ad to make it influence people.

Well, a lot of people take their reading very seriously, mostly the scholars who cry out that we're doomed if we won't read Shakespeare or Milton. I guess they have a hard time ignoring millions of people who didnt' andlive their lives just like those who did, LOL.

Reading, by definition, is an activity done in your leisure time. Most of these insulting comments come from people who really think that one can't love or appreciate other people...if they don't read a book about it first. LOL. I especially get a kick out of the novels being praised by critics about "an accurate portrayal of an entire generation" while they themselves don't belong to it.

Maciek (pan_maciej) | 327 comments I once had a picture of me when I was about 8 or so. It was taken outside, and it was rather cold, and I had only my slacks and T-shirt on. So I pulled my slacks right up to my chin and walked around like a big damn sausage. I wish I still had it to show you guys, but for now the best you can do is imagine it in your wise heads.

Chuckie is freaky. So are any dolls / puppets that come to life.

As for someone hating a book genre, not cool. At least some folks are reading something.

That's some talent. It takes me hours to read instructions before I get the gist of what they want me to do.

message 73: by Aloha (new)

Aloha | 4052 comments No, she should be sentenced to read Samuel Beckett. She wouldn't understand what the heck he's talking about. I went to the library to check out his book The Lost Ones. The last time it was checked out was 4 years ago.
