Lily screamed and fell back out of her crouching position and onto her butt. "Holy crap...that scared the hell out of me."
Dane stumbled backwards and fell over a log. He was sprawled out on the ground, looking at the stars. He managed an "Ouch," and was completely speechless otherwise.
Kristi turned her head, confused. "What happened? Is it erasers?"44
Kristi opened her mouth. She looked confused. "What!?!"
Kristi blinked her sightless eyes. "You wished and it happened? Maybe...maybe you have some power of telekinesis!" She said excitedly.
Kristi felt around trying to find the tent. "Where is it?"
Kristi felt it. "Wow...thats amazing..."
Kristi nodded slowly. "Try to put something else together...or even better try to take it apart!"

Must be awful being a birdkid, then. Dane smiled at her, scratching the back of his head. "It's cool."
Kristi turned her head to the noise. "What happened? Did it come apart or together or what? I need to know these things..."
"Woah...That is awesome..." Kristi said stunned. Jay ran around the tent and barked at it. "Shh..." Kristi said hitting her walking stick against the ground twice. Jay stopped barking and went over to her and sat down. "Good doggy..." She pet Jay.
Kristi shook her head. "He can be... mischievous...and run away...but I can always call him back." She told Jax. Jay looked around almost sheepishly.
Dane clapped his hands together, ready for business. "Okay! Back on track. Who takes the first watch?"
"I can...Jay barks if she sees anyone...or thing." Kristi said looking around. Her arms went out and she felt for the tent.
"Thank you..." She threw her bag inside the large tent. "If you need anything you can look in it...I have snacks in their to..." She sat on a pillow and Jay sat next to her.

Jay barked happily. His tounge was sticking out of his mouth. "I know what you mean...I found him on the street and he thought he was my guide dog...he's not very good at being a guide dog though. That's why I said he wasn't." Kristi told them.
"I'm glad I found him...He's helped me..." Kristi said softly, petting Jay's head in-between the ears.
Dane tugged off his jacket and folded it into a pillow-like lump, then let it drop to the ground. "Well, bonding is great. But I'm rather tired and want to get some sleep before it's my time to watch."
He yawned and lied down on the ground, burying his face in his jacket, and tried to drift off into sleep. The fire at his back felt good and the ground was soft from decaying leaves. Dane didn't even notice the loud buzz of the cicadas in the trees.
He smiled a little, feeling oddly at home.

"Okay..." Kristi sat on her pillow on watch. Jay was next to her so if she couldn't hear somebody, he would and bark.

Jax woke up with the bright sun blinding her. She stretched her arms out and went out of the tent.
Kristi woke up. "Good morning!" She said cheerfully. "Who wants breakfast? French toast, eggs and bacon!" She said as she got out the supplies. "Now wheres my darn cooler..." She muttered rummiging around in the bag until she found a large cooler. She got out the bacon and eggs and started to make everything.
Dane, rolled over, crushing some more leaves, and stared at the fire pit. The fire had died sometime around dawn. All that was left was charred wood and a sprinkling of ash. After a second, he sat up and stretched, brushing himself off.
