Jacob was ahead of her, gun poised in his hand as his eyes darted from side to side. "We're good," he called, clattering down the stairs.
Savita followed, glancing over her shoulder every now and then.

Scarlett waved at the guy they passed, smiling in a friendly way. By the fortieth floor, she could sense that after a few more flights, they'd hit the top. She also noticed that Stella was slowing down. Hmmmm... An idea formed in her mind.

Pyro walked up to it, putting an ear to the wall and knocking on it. The sound was faintly hollow. She grinned as her hands blasted heat, incinerating a large chunk of the wall.
