Savita snorted, but her amusement faded quickly. "Yeah. He is," she said dully.

"Well, there's gotta be something," Savita decided firmly.

Pyro nodded. "Hey, what snapped me out of it? I usually wake up in total ruins...."

"Takes a thief to catch one," Scarlett said in agreement. As they ran after the criminals, she could tell that they didn't stand a chance. Even though one had a gun, they wouldn't be able to pull it out fast enough.

The getaway car was another story. Who knew what was waiting in there? But they can't be very serious if they're robbing a music store (which Scarlett happened to make note of). Probably just some punk kids who wanted a free guitar.

Scarlett focused once more on their target just as they got close enough to see the zits on the back of their necks. She reached out and grabbed one by the collar, yanking him backwards and throwing him onto the pavement. She smiled wickedly down at him, placing a foot on his chest as he squirmed on the ground and cursed up a storm. She wasn't worried about Stella catching the other one. These guys were as good as caught.

Savita's frown deepend. "I'm not really sure, actually. It just...happened." Jacob nodded agreement. "Nothing was really there to snap you out of it."

Pyro nodded. "Odd. Maybe you two pissed me off so badly that instead of summoning my powers, I just transformed."

Jacob laughed. "Well, you're back to normal."

Pyro giggled. "So was there anything different about us besides my low tolerance for anything?"

"Um...The eyes. And your skin kinda turned copper, too," Jacob said after a moment of thought. "It was weird."

Pyro arched an eyebrow. "My skin turned copper?! AWESOME!"

Savita laughed slightly. "Well, it was like your blood was copper, really."

Pyro shook her head. "No. It probably has something to do with all the microchips and doo-dads that they put in me."

"Then it's not healthy." Jacob muttered, eyes hardening slightly.

Pyro sighed. "I wonder if the copper is oil or something. Maybe... nanobots?" She sighed. "I wish we hsd a blood checker or a microscope."

Jacob glanced over at Savita, but she shook her head. "Nothing of the sort."

"I wish. It kinda reminds me of a poison I once saw..." she trailed off. "Are you seeing spots?"

Jacob gnawed on his lip, studying Pyro carefully.

Pyro huffed and walked to the balcony, sitting on the edge. "Damn."

Jacob and Savita followed behind, sitting on either side of her. "We'll figure it out."

Savita's hand flickered up to her wounded arm, and she sighed slightly. "We should keep moving."

Savita and Jacob nodded agreement. "Uh-huh."

Pyro jumped up onto the railing, walking across it like a tightrope, quietly counting the windows until she reached the one she was looking for.

They remained on the balcony, watching her with sharp eyes.

Pyro counted to thirteen, sat on the balcony, facing away from the roof. She dropped down to the highest window, pulled it open (she'd melted the lock a few days ago), and pulled herself through the opening. A few seconds later she emerged carrying an extra backpack. She used her oh-so-epic rockclimbing skils to reach the roof again.

Savita raised an eyebrow when she returned. "What's in there?" she questioned, nodding to the backpack.
Jacob cocked his head, interested. "Food?"

Pyro sighed. "Not food that you're allowed to eat... or something that you would like... actually, I take that back... you might like it...." She gently set down the backpack, which had makeshift mesh patches for ventalation, but the patches were strategically placed so that you couldn't see what was in it.

Jacob's frown deepened. "You confused me," he said, eyes fixated on the backpack.
Savita's gaze was drifting, scanning the surrounding area. The last thing they needed was another bullet wound.

Pyro smiled. "I know." She unzipped the backpack a crack, reached in, and pulled out what looked like a lemur... with bat wings. She cradled it (which was fast asleep) to her chest.

Savita's eyes snapped to the...thing.
"Uh...What is that?" Jacob asked, openly gaping at the creature.

Pyro held it out a little. "This is my pet lemurbat. She came from my lab. I stole her." She lemurbat's eyes opened, quietly eyeing the surrounding with brown/red eyes. She jumped from Pyro's hands, snapping out her wings and flapping straight to Jacob. The creature landed gracefully on his shoulder, sniffing his face.

Jacob froze, eyes wide. "Uh..."
Savita was still for a moment, then she giggled.
Jacob was now gaping at Savita.
"What?" she asked defensively. "It's pretty cute."

The lemur eyed savita, then leaped from Jacob's shoulder to hers. It continued to smell everything that it came in contact with.
Pyro beamed. "She doesn't bite."

Savita giggled again, watching the animal with wonder clear in her eyes.
Jacob was stunned, eyes going between the lemur-bat and Savita. The world's been turned upside down.

"You hungry girl?" Pyro asked the lemur bat((which I shall now just call the lb. Makes me think of pounds, which for some reason immediately brings me to cake.>.<)), who in response jumping down to Pyro, sitting and wagging its tail in a dog like manner.

Savita laughed again, bending over slightly to be on eye level with the creature. "So cute!!"

The creature cocked its head at Savita, then leaned closer, staring at her. Pyro, meanwhile, opened the front zipper and pulled out a can of fruit and a bag of dried fruit. "Which one, sweetie?" She asked the creature, holding the bag and the can in seperate hands. The creature marched back and forth between them, then decided on the bag of fruit. Pyro opened it and handed it to the lb, who sat down with it in one hand, and pulled out a piece of dried peach. It muched on it, it's expression comical. "Yeah, luckily,she doesn't eat much, and sleeps whenever we rest."

Savita was still grinning, reaching out to the lb with one hand, almost shyly.
Jacob was still in shock. Must be the meds, he finally decided. THere was no way Savita wwas acting like this of her own accord.
