Savita shook her head. "No big deal. Yeah, fine by me." She turned on her heel, gesturing across the street. "Don't get hit," she muttered, meaning the rush hour traffic.

Pyro nodded. "I wish we didn't have to hide. It's less effort to fly across." She muttered, making her way to the cross walk.

"The less effort the better..." She smiled, thinking back to a different time. Small vibrations began in her pocket, and she instictively reached to turn it off, but dismissed the movement as if she had been sticking her hand in her jacket pocket.

Savita followed slowly, hanging back to switch off the vibrating cellphone. Not now, dammit. Hurrying forward, she fell into step besides Pyro. "How old are you?"

"Thirteen. Almost fourteen.... I think....." Pyro frowned. She didn't know her birthday. Maybe she'd choose one. The summer solstice would be cool.

"Not very long ago. Maybe half a year?" Pyro guessed. It had been not long ago, but not very recently either.

Pyro nodded. "Luckily, the heat thermals made it easier to fly. I chose a random direction and stuck to it."

Grinning, Savita glanced at her watch momentarily. "That it is. Thought my tongue was on fire, but it was delicious."

Savita slipped into the booth silently, tapping her fingers against the table as she waited for the pizza to arrive. The silence was awkward--she had no idea what to say.

Pyro shrugged. "I thought I saw some random teens that seemed to have bulky jackets, but I didn't double check. Most were with adults anyway. I think if I wanted to find any, the trick is to stay near places with food."
