Shaking his head mutely, Jacob sighed inwardly. How had a girl this young made him so unsure?

The girl nodded. "I'll see you guys later!" She stood up and, when the door didn't open, broke it down with a punch. She daintily walked out, and jammed the door back into place.

They're attracted to blood.

The sharks, which were quite big, seemed to loop near the area for the buzzer.

Stella stepped carefully into the center of the room, taking slow breaths and closing her eyes as she prepared for the power she would have to exert to really sell this. With her enhanced bird-like hearing, she could tell the woman and her son were on the other side of the door, listening in anticipation. She took another breath, then started to mumble inaudible phrases to herself, as if she were in some sort of trance.

At the same moment, Jacob shot forward, ramming into the shark.

The other sharks, not severely agitated at the closeness of the birdkids, began to swim more agitatedly around the buzzer.
