Pyro looked around tentantively. Had anyone heard? But then she turned back to Jacob. She carefully took of her jacket, which revealed her arms. They had so many scalpel scars and needle scars that it almost seemed like her arms glowed from the pinkish scar tissue. It was hard to find any skin that hadn't been injured. Savita rolled out of the bed, groaning softly. It was quiet in the room. Where was Jacob? And who was yelling?
Jacob growled, shaking his head. "I'm coming with you."

Mumbling something rude under her breath, Savita staggered out of her room, wandering into the night.

Savita froze, listening to the conversation in silence.

Savita looked down at her hands, mulling. Oh, hell. Taking a deep breath, she stepped out of the shadows of the tree, but Jacob spoke before she could.
"And she doesn't know that. I can't let you die without even trying."

Savita's eyes narrowed, but she didn't stop the girl, nor did she acknowledge Jacob. Turning around, she started back for her room, hands in her pockets, shoulders slumped.
Jacob sighed, scuffing his foot against the ground. She didn't need to hear that.

Pyro never made it to her room, she climbed a tree nearby, making herself obvious to see so the others didn't freak out, and gazed at the stars. "Stupid mutt."

Jacob finally sat down against the wall, not really wanting to go inside and face Savita. Dropping his head in his hands, he groaned.
Savita sighed, throwing herself down on the bed, but she knew she wouldn't be getting any sleep.
