Me: Oh no. I got so sick of that after grade 8. I was supposed to start music history yesterday, but I got excused from 4th period to present in the poetry recitation competition. I had no idea I was supposed to do it that day- we'd already been through it once (only 4 people made it to the finals) but the judges though it would be good if we did it in front of an audience. Yeah. So Whim + 250 people + 3 poems + microphone = nervous breakdown. Not really, haha, I managed to pull myself together.

For the first poem I did Alone by Poe since I already had that memorized. Did it fluidly but I was so stagestruck I didn't deliver it powerfully enough.

For the second poem I did Fire and Ice by Frost. It was the best one of the second round. Didn't see what was so special about my performance of it but the judge called it a seductive charm. LOL. In literary terms, don't worry, she wasn't making a pass at me.

For the third poem, for which I chose a 3rd one, I did Rimbaud- Le dormeur du val. Top marks in that. Thank you, legit-French-accent!! ;)

The winner wasn't me but I am runner-up for nationals, yay. xD
