O.o Tu est quelle? Why do you shop at Victoria Secret? I'm not going to rant at you about how discriminating they are to women... but really?"
Me: I hate the way they model women, but it's a bra store, and I needed to be sized 'cuz the other lady who did it tried puttin gme in a B, which I've outgrown for about two years. Plus I simply lovetheir LOVE PINK clothes. :)

It's cake! But it's pi ... but it's cake ... BUT IT'S PI!!!"
Me: PARADOX.
Arthur: *sigh*
Me: @ Silvy: ...Okay. I go to this local shop that is really good, you have to make an appointment. They sell prom dresses, too. I don't find their pink clothes that appealing, no offense. It's all sweat pants and sweat shirts, which is fine. It's just all these girls at my school wear them, as sorta default. I like to shop at Forever21, Delias, DEB. Like, mix n' match stuff.

I bought my first dress there. And wouldn't you know it, I barely fit. Fat Jo.
Me: I shop at H&M, Salvation Army + Value Village, American Apparel, and random cheap boutiques and outlet malls across TO.
Me: I don't like the commercials. It's like porn on non-porn channels. Why do you need a push-up bra? I mean isn't the whole thing is to accept how you are? It's great for girls to feel good about themselves, but I don't think your boob size should depend on how much a guy or people in general like you. If that's how they base it on then you shouldn't be friends with those people.
I'm fine with feeling a little pretty, heck I do it. But if it's a continuous thing in society to look like this girl, have a body like her, be pretty like her, then maybe we should get a knew way to judge people.
@ Jo: They have some pretty skinny things there, or maybe it just shrunk in the wash?

Me: I have a paris shirt from there, a knitted skirt, a pair of shoes, umm... I think a pair of socks and some other stuff. Their shoes are so hilarious, I'd never pull off a shoe like that.
Me: Who says that guys are telling me to wear push up bras? I wear push up bras because it looks nice with some clothes I wear. I'm comfortable with 32C, thank you very much, and like everyone else who shops at VA, don't wear bras simply because guys tell me to. Victoria's Secret is a lingerie store and lots of girls like lingerie because it makes them feel pretty and it makes them feel good about themselves. Who are you to tell them that it's discriminating? The CEOs of VA are both women; their Angels are surprisingly intelligent young women who are role models for a lot of people, not just because they're attractive. You're not denouncing VA, you're denouncing the media and the stereotypes it puts onto people and the skewing it does of beauty - this is true and I wholheartedly agree with you.
People don't shop at VA because they want to look like the Angels - obviously everyone does, but come on, we all know it's not possible and move on with our lives. People shop at VA because - like I said - lingerie is pretty and their bras are high quality.

Me: It just makes me uncomfortable watching them on TV like that. I never doubted that they were intelligent. I just don't get the point of it. I don't get why girls are so pressured to look that way. Especially with all those commercials, I know it makes me insecure about my body. It's just their way of making people buy their product. By showing you this gorgeous girl and saying that wearing this will make you look like that.
VA? Isn't it VS?
VA? Isn't it VS?

Me: Trust me, big boobs isn't always the answer. I'm in a D, and I shope there bc they have nice clothes and undergarments.
Plus I fell in love with their Slice of HEaven lip gloss!!!
And I have to agree with Whim, I like VS ecause the bras are beast, and I'd wear some of the other stuff if my mom would let me buy it. LOL :)

Me: But they don't say wearing the bras will make you look like them. They don't say anything.
Oops. Yep, Victoria's Secret.

Me: I stopped being awesome about a month ago, sorry about that, guys. :(
Apparently - since you are getting some calories, you're not starving yourself - you actually feel better when on the cleanse. But I'll see. And then a raw food diet for a month or so after the cleanse. Gargh.
