Me: Okie.

message 17255: by Annie (new)

Annie Me: Um... Guys?
Mum and Dad are a little angry cuz my geometry grade is so high and, since I suck at math, they think I'm cheating.
:\
So, they gave me the option of Internet or band.
Obviously, no one can blame me for choosing band, yes?
So I'll be missing for a while. I'll try to sneak on like I used to with that wallpaper app, seeing as they just took away safari but know I need my email to contact our drum instructor.
.....
So yeah. Bye for now guys!
<333333333333,
The one and only Iso;)

Bye Iso! So sad that you need to go.

message 17258: by Annie (new)

Annie Me: I think I can get on most of tonight, since Mum and Dad are at Orchestra by the time I get home from band practice...
And in mornings before they wake up...
But yeah. Won't be much.
Everyone knows who can RP who if the situation arises. Feel free to sworn it around:)

message 17262: by Annie (new)

Annie Me: ....
Do you every get that feeling when you have so much effing crap going on in your life, and you need to practice two instruments and like forty different things and you're so stressed out and panicking and you just did the most exhausting thing of your life (school swim) and then realize how much shit you have left to do and just break down and cry?

message 17263: by ., Goddess of Bacon (new)

. (onawhim) | 17465 comments Mod
Me: Ohhhhhh Iso :( <3 I do. You should drop something from your load, honey.

message 17264: by Annie (new)

Annie Me: But, the thing is, this is my load:
•School work
•Marching band
•Symphony
•Lessons

And that's it. I have lessons tomorrow that I haven't practiced for, and we got new marching music today, and I have symphony shit I need to work on so I don't get yelled at again....

I can't drop anything. Music is, like, my life. And I need to do all of this if I want it to /be/ my life.

message 17265: by Annie (new)

Annie Me: What's stressing you, Gwyn?

And yeah, I know it'll work out and all, it's just a lot.
Sometimes I wish I were a normal kid. Not in the arts.
But then when I think about it, all my friends and crushes and closest companions are in the arts with me, if not just band. So where would I be if I were normal?

Seth and my cousin told me to scream in a pillow and go play bassoon. I did and it forced me to stop crying cuz you can't cry while playin bassoon:)

message 17266: by Annie (new)

Annie Me: Have you had bad experiences with him /personally/? Or just a similar situation?

Cuz the same situation can be made different with a different person.

Playing bassoon? Impossible to cry if you wanna sound pretty. Although I've seen Seth cry whilst playing flute and Emily cry whilst playing clarinet... So I believe you.

And it is über possible to cry whilst playing xylo. -.-
It's so much. Effing. Stress. I just wanna essplode some shit.
Edwin: ...
Me: :} anyone get that?

message 17267: by Annie (new)

Annie Me: BEING A SICK MUSICIAN SUCKS... Edwin. That's all I'll say :)
I had to play with bronchitis... I nearly died that day o-O

I get you, Gwyn. Like, our sousaphone plyer Greg? And our quads dude Damien?
I had so much trust in those guys and they were such amazing friends.
Then I overhear them talk about drugs and doing shots on 9/11, and I'm all "o-O wow..."

message 17268: by Annie (new)

Annie Me: .... O-o well, I wouldn't say that happened to me, but... WOW.
xD That sounds harsh.

Off topic of broken hearts and stressed band geeks...
I HATE TRIPLET RHYTHMS.
... how this is deriving from stressed band geeks I do not know xDD

Me: Like what I just did? XD
We got our ballad and it's effing hard, and I have bassoon lessons I needed to practice for, and symphony music to work on, and I wasn't getting the rhythm of the ballad, and I threw my mallet against the wall, and I got so frustrated, and I started to cry....
:(

message 17276: by Cloudy Storms (new)

Cloudy Storms (cloudstrife) | 938 comments Me: It started like that for me too. Except it was more... I dunno, fun? Relaxing?

Think of a song. Any song. Think of a song that most resembles the ballad. Yes, it's nearly impossible to find one... That's modern. Check your mind rack of music. Or ask Ivi. Don't ask me. I'm the last person you would ask for info for Mozart and Beethoven. But I'm here for support! :)

Listen to the rythem closely. Tap a finger, a foot, anything to keep in touch. After the ballad is finsihed, practice the rhythm. If you don't get it, and you throw a mallet to pieces, I think I have a coupon for a new one... Ah, shit, my sister used it for drawing... Anyway, once you get the beat, start takin' the heat!

"The first try is usually a faliure, and you find yourself banging your locker and asking yourself why. Let me tell you this- If you got it on your first try, that means you have nothing to improve. To go for the second time is finding your wrongs and turning the tables against fate and say, "YEAH BITCH! FUCK THAT!" Fate wants you to cry and give up. But hope and faith don't let you. You walk away, and you come back. And it repeats until you get it. And when you do, you don't feel down because it took you THAT LONG to finish it. You feel proud, because you fufilled your exceptions and moved on. True, it's easier said than done. Don't get overwhelmed. Everyone has their specialty and their... opposite of specialty. Like me, half-half knowledge, good voice for singing. Great at dodging, an epic faliure at basketball. You cannot be great at everything, but you can be good at somethings. So, whatcha say? Grab hold, mah friend. This is gonna be one HELLUVA RIDE!"

- My own words. Something I invented. Some of you don't need to be telled that. The point is, I'm here, and I'mma help, anyway I can through CYBERSPACE! WHHOSSSSH! HERE COMES A BIRDIEEEE! Wait, no, that's an email. Oops.

message 17277: by Annie (new)

Annie Me: XD ily.
Yeah, the ballad... I kindasorta did that.
On jksmusic.com there's all these links to marching band shows. Ours is on there, so I listened to the midi and... Couldn't hear my part.
BUT THEN I WENT TO MY FOUR HOUR PRACTICE YESTERDAY AND GOT IT.
:D
My teacher gave me such a hard exercise at lesson. And a new solo piece called Romance.
....
WHO WANTS TO RP CUZ I IS BORED

Me: Yeah, all schools do it differently. >.< Tell me about it - last week before band camp. :D And I get to boss around the 9s and 10s or middle schoolians.

Just empty. You know? The nameless empty?

... I'm jealous.

message 17285: by Annie (new)

Me: Not good .. Mother came in and decided to freak me out more about university by saying there's a lot of people going into humanities and so I'm less likely to get into university. I stated hyperventilating and freaking out and crying as I was already unstable.

>.<

message 17291: by Annie (new)

Annie Me: AH BOMBARDMENT.

Gwyn: XD I am not sporty at all. I'm afraid of soccer... And all sports...:)
Whim: OHEMGEE. ~huggles~ I'm sorry.
Seth's been having a similar issue... He's stuck between music and doctoring... And his mum isn't supporting either.
What I normally do for him is, well, give 'im a hug and get his mind off of it.
And if that doesn't work I talk him through it.

SO OHEMGEE GUESS WHAT.

message 17292: by Annie (new)

Annie Me: Yeah, she's right. Psh I has no clue what I'll do.
Music can't support my life; it's so uncertain.
And I'm screwed if I'm gonna be a music teacher; that sucks.

I GET TO GO SHOPPING FOR MY HOMECOMING DRESS ON SUDAY:D
Seth tried to do my hair aaaand it failed. Cuz it's so short.
