Tara - how have I only just seen this - that is a lovely looking Kindle :D

Last night it was so stupidly windy that, lying in bed, heard the sign from salon downstairs get blown off where it was attached. So, me being friends with them downstairs I went to see if I could grab it and keep it in the hallway for them.... it had gone though! Totally disappeared, not even hit the car parked right outside the salon :O Methinks it went on a flying lesson :S

Hayley, omg, that be some strong wind! It was very kind of you to go and offer your help. It's much the same here. Our fence has finally fully collapsed in one area after the insistent wind bashing it has undergone over the past 6 months, and the lid of my greens bin keeps coming open. I hope it doesn't knock the bin over or the whole street will be covered in straw and bunny poo!!

Haha Hayley! My handbags aren't that big but they're big enough to fit a slim e-reader in there.

I've got a few indie authors to catch up with on mine right now. And I also grabbed a free version of L'Assommoir by Emile Zola (it won't do links for me right now :( ) which I'll be reading over the weekend.

In other news, one of the fuses blew this morning! So I've spent my day in a house with no lights, no heating, no hot water, no internet, no electricity in certain rooms... Eugh. I got to the point where I was bored and felt yuck (no hot water = no bath) so I cleaned the living room. Going for a good long soak after dinner! Yey!

That's the best sized bag I guess :) Mine all seem to be rather large, even able to fit in a pair of shoes :S

As for not doing links right now I'm just happy it's actually letting me on, getting rather annoyed with the site at the mo'!

That sounds dreadful, I'd have had to disappear out to somewhere warm if that had happened to me!! You should definitely treat yourself after all that palaver, soak with a glass of wine perhaps ;)

On the plus side I've almost finished Flesh and Blood - will most probably have the review done by end of weekend :D

I swore at it and then abandoned it for a while - seems to have worked... bad example to set GR, very bad!

I was wondering what Room was like but then I read a few blurb descriptions about it and am not sure if I'd like it/want to read all of it... oh well, over a year until I can buy another book anyway - plenty of time ;D

I now have two shelves for awful books. There's the "ugh-it-was-awful" shelf, which is where bad books go...then there's the "God-help-me-why-did-I-read-this" shelf, which is where the really bad books go.

I discovered this morning that a boy I went to middle school with, before I left the UK, who sat next to me in certain classes and went to my dad's scouts group is no longer with us. What's more, he died three years ago in a horrible climbing accident in the Alps about half way between my house and the coast... and I was there when it happened so I will have read about it in the paper or seen it on the news and didn't make the link. I feel weird. Disconnected.

I'm going to be picking up my rescue cat a week Friday and may have gone a little OTT with buying things :S But I'm excited, would've taken her straight away but am off to watch 6 Nations rugby up in Scotland this weekend :D

Just to let you all know, I've not abandoned you all! I've just managed to catch a cold that's affecting my eye and being at the computer aggrevates it. :(

I'm hoping it'll bugger off soon because it's driving me round't bend! I look like I've spent the weekend crying from only one eye... which I suppose is effectively what I've done.

I accidentally ripped off half of a mole on my back last night. OMG the pain. It bled all over the place and it still hurts enough to make me feel constantly sick. Might actually have to get this checked out... :/

Came here to ask if anyone else is having problems with notifications/emails. I haven't received anything for like a week now so I presume I'm missing the weekly update and he many notifications I usually get.... but wow that made me cringe, hope you are okay!

The Goodreads site had a problem with broadcasting group messages after the maintenance last Thursday. Apparently they found the problem and fixed it - and this has caused all the messages that were broadcast but not sent to appear in everyone's inboxes all at the same time! Hopefully it will stay fixed.

As for the mole, well, it seems to have fixed itself, though the skin feels different now so I'm going to have to keep an eye on it. It started hurting again yesterday, too, so if that doesn't stop it'll be off to see the doc! :(

I'm frustrated.
I'm in my fourth year. I was sent to a school to start my intern (?) and now I'm fully aware that I'm not meant for teaching. I mean, I like the idea, but I feel I'm not suited for that job. I'm very introverted and I get way too nervous in front of a group of people. All the thoery is in my head, but when the time comes to use it... I fail. And I feel miserable.
I can't even change my major because next year I finish, and I don't have money to pay another career anyway.
