I haven't been around on Goodreads much lately and I just wanted peeps to know I haven't abandoned the group or been stuck down a well or anything like that.

I'm actually pregnant (three months now!) and between morning sickness and trying to carry on with normal life, my reading has been a little squeezed out. Now Christmas is coming up too I'm thinking it's still going to be hard getting online but I'm hoping I will have a bit more time in the New Year.

I haven't forgotten any of you and I'll keep an eye on my updates! :D

Congrats! That's how far along I am too! I'm due June 16th. When are you due? My morning sickness has finally cleared up. I hope you find relief from yours soon. I know what you mean about not being able to read as much. :/ Here's hoping we both can get back into our reading after the New Year!

I feel soo christmassy right now :D I've been left in the office by myself and am making up the staff christmas hampers... at the same time I'm humming christmas carols - feels so right :D

Yey Christmassy! What are in your Christmas hampers? Last year I got a portable BBQ with lots of BBQ accessories and some wine. XD This year we're getting some decorations where you burn oil in like glass jars. Sounds good!

Ooh, we don't give/get anything that good - xmas puds, mince pies, crackers, chocolates etc - all traditional christmassy stuff :D

Well, my roots start out so blonde they almost look white, then the hair turns to various shades of blonde, red and brown so most hairdressers don't know quite what to make of it! It's cool, though! ^^

Oh, I forgot to mention... yesterday I saw a woman I have dubbed "the lady in purple" for the second time.

Purple boots
Purple trousers
Purple coat
Purple scarf
Purple handbag
And to top it all off: her glasses have a purple frame!

Something tells me that this woman might be fond of the colour purple! XD

Been doing work all day yesterday, all day today with hardly a moment off. My brain is now on the verge of kaploding! And on top of that, I've spent my days drinking tea (had ten cups so far today) so my bladder's frequently lodging complaints too. Ah the joys of the end of term rush!

I received a parcel in the post today - was a book proof from a Waterstone's Competition I entered last week - looks like a good book :D Shall read & review after Emma.

TBH, I'm more excited to have actually won anything than anything else - even if it was 100 people chosen to win, I hardly ever get in that group - it's good (bloomin' typical that when I do win it ends up being a book than the lottery rollover tho' ;P)

Anyway, just dropping in to say WOOOOO!!!!

I haven't been ignoring you all for a few days now, I've just been really, really busy.

I've just finished a really long, difficult piece on regional languages (that you're supposed to do in groups of 4 but lucky me doing this as self study I get to do it on my own). I chose to do it on my regional language as I figured the teacher wouldn't have seen an article on that one before. But added bonus: I now understand some of my quirks when I speak French - I'm being influenced by Francoprovençal without knowing it!

And now I'm off to bed :p I'll catch up on everything tomorrow.

Which I would do but it's not 100% trustworthy and keeps giving me different translations everytime - obviously that was my first choice.
