Sounds good!! Though I can both drink tea while reading and read lying on my side now. =P For me it's more that I have a certain number of ebooks and reading them on the PC screen kills my eyes after a while. Getting an ereader should help with that problem!

For me I had a terrible feeling that, due to it's success with many people as well as being turned into films that also became big hits, the Twilight books may be thrust upon unsuspecting children of the future... and that's slightly worrying for me as there are so many other's that should be studied instead (I've already accepted Harry Potter will be there).

Oh dear lord - if I have grandkids and they come to me asking me about the book 'in my day' I'll write a strong letter to the teacher ;P
In fact, just in case I'll have a strongly worded letter to be put in a time capsule to be opened in the event that the books are studied in school by my children's, children's children and I'm not around. Same goes for the music-history teachers and Justin Bieber (et al in that area).

He's only 17 - he could go on for a long time :O

Mine did that a couple of months ago. I have this compulsive need to buy at least one book whenever I go into town but never read it before I buy the next one.

I feel your pain. Yesterday was all go-go-go for me from 7am till midnight. And I had to do it mostly in Dutch. I'm knackered today! Was the fair fun? I love going to W.I. fairs with my nan!

I have lost all desire to read. I am seriously bummed about this and don't know what's caused it. :(

NOOOOOOooooooo Rea!!! We must find a cure :O I have had to put DQ aside mind, 16 chapters in & I need a break!

I know, it's horrible. :( So I'm listening to a book instead and doing some knitting at the same time. My current crochet project requires me to count stitches and I've discovered that I can't do that and listen to an audiobook at the same time. :p I've not read DQ - I dropped lucky and joined French school the year after they studied it. ;) Is it good (despite being tiring)?

DQ would definitely not have been a school choice, too long to talk through in any great detail. I quite enjoy it at the moment, just need a break every now & then :S

My problem is that I keep marking books that look interesting as "to-read." The result was the TBR pile explosion. I think I need to find a library now....

Haha, yup! With the knitting I just have to make sure I don't increase to more than 40 stitches. I'm using up all my left over wool, so that's good!
Ah but in France they like to study those sorts of books that are too long to be studied properly. We read Les Misérables when I was 13... you seen the size of that thing? I suspect that most kids didn't even bother to read the whole book, the teacher never would have noticed.

Haha yes, I've been doing that too. Like you and Hayley, ever since the recommendations thing was added, my TBR shelf has suffered. Most of the ones I get recommended aren't coming out till next year, though, so my TBR shelf will just have to look a bit... huge... for the time being.

You can take notes in the review space. I've seen a few people who review in 3 stages: before read, during, after. I'm not sure whether or not there's another way.

My boyfriend asked me to go fetch his bike from the bus stop (someone gave him a lift home) but then he said "Oh no, it doesn't have a light. Can you cycle in the dark?" Cue me blinking at him. Obviously, I resorted to sarcasm. No, I cannot cycle in the dark: cycling in the dark requires a completely different skill set to cycling when it's light!
-_-
I went and got the bike.

I didn't take notes either, but after reading the last books I read, I find myself wanting to take notes to read afterwards, to organize them in my mind. And mental notes don't work for me anymore... Maybe I'm getting old! (seriously, my dad told me yesterday I should start thinking about getting married!)

I've seen that too, but I don't want it to be public, I wanted something I can keep private, like a notepad...
Thanks guys, anyway!

Fair enough. It happens to us all. Although if you want something like a notepad... couldn't you just use one? Or write in a word document. :) Hahah!!! I haven't found myself being shoved down the aisle (yet)... :)
On the review page, there's a part towards the bottom called "Private notes - shown only to you". I don't know whether it has a character limit, but would that work?

You click on the shelf you want and in the top right corner of each listing is an "x" click that and it'll remove the book. :)

Nope, that's the one with the 500 character limit. Anyway, I'll probably take notes somewhere else... I just liked the idea that since I have my books organized here (even if only virtually), I could also take notes on each book here, privately though...

Aww that sucks :( Wonder why they have such a short limit for it. I take notes in a book while I'm reading, or just on random pieces of paper if I don't have the book with me, but it would be much better to have somewhere private to save all my thoughts on here as well.

Yeap, that was my thought too. Anyway, I'm just updating my review anytime I want to take note of something... At least till I figure out a better way...
I came across a Christian romance yesterday. The blurb opened with 'baiser is the French word for to kiss'. All I could think was: "no, no it's not. It's the French word for 'to f***'." Obviously, I immediately contacted the author! It took over three years for someone to tell her about this. :/ But she's offered me one of her books - that was very kind of her!!
