I've always loved Dave the Laugh. Georgia was being dense the whole time when she'd end up having snog fests with him but thought she wanted her sex gods instead of the only guy who actually stuck by her no matter what.

And yes, I suppose it is all about sex gods at 14... but I never felt Robbie was all that sex god-ish from the descriptions of him. My fave "character" is Angus... I cried so, so much when he got hurt! And, actually, she could have kept Masimo if I could have had Dave! lol.

Yeah, I just hope it doesn't take too long. :p I told them to just order them into the shop then when they're all there I'll go into town on my bike to pick 'em up. Gets me half an hour of exercise and saves me 2euros! Not bad.

I never had this thing for bands that most girls seem to have. I dunno, maybe I'm just weird! Well, Angus is a male cat who, at that time, had his trouser snake adendum in tact! (that's what she called it, right?) It's a wonder he didn't have more offspring!

My dad's called David... as was my grandad... but in my family it's normal to have the same name over and over. We have a "family" name that, up until 2 generations ago, was given to the eldest son of the eldest son. It's currently with the 2nd eldest son of the second eldest son. I've informed my brothers that it is their duty to have a son and give him that name. They weren't too impressed at the time! :p

I finished Bought: The Penniless Lady by Deborah Hale. It was somewhere between ok and good. Quick read, though.

White is for Witching isn't doing much for me. I think it's because it's psychological thriller and that just doesn't do much for me. Plus, one of the narrators is The House and it's weird.

I usually order online but in this case it was about 10 euros cheaper to order the 3 books into my local store than to order them from the online site to my door. Cheaper option it is.

I tend to lump boys in bands together with footballers. Their "fame" gets to their heads and then they don't treat others as well... in my experience at least. Which may be why Robbie holds little appeal for me. Go Angus's son! Was he Geordie or something? Been a while, as you can tell!

Only the males of my family get the family name. It goes back as far as the 1600s, so it's been around for a while!

Yeah, I think they can be disgusting when the fame gets to their heads. I can't remember what he was called, I do remember he had a dodgy eye though. It's been a while for me too.

Cheaper is always better! It's the same text anyway. Sometimes I'll splash out on a prettier cover, but usually I just like cheap.

I just remember her frequently waking up with both of them wrapped around her head. I might have to reread all the books from book 1 through 10 this summer. Refresh my Georgia memories!

They could be Louis though! :p Yeah, it is a long time, hence why I've told my brothers they ought to keep the tradition going if they can. I would do, but if I get married the kids aren't going to have my last name and that kinda defeats the point.

Yeah... I can be fussy about my covers. Like if I ever get one with a half-naked man / man and woman entwined on it, I will never ever read it outside the house and as soon as I'm done it goes in a box rather than on the shelves!

Yeah :) It's been at least 6 years for the earlier books in the series for me. Unfortunately, I don't find them as funny now as I did when I was 15, but they're still pretty darn good! I'll definitely be keeping them in case I have daughters / nieces to pass them on to in the future!

That's what I thought too. That's why I'm trying to motivate them to take it on to another generation and hopefully pass it on through their children too. But I suppose only time will tell! Unless I can get my bf to take our name instead, but he's the last male of his family line to pass the name on, so he doesn't want to, for understandable reasons!

I don't know why I buy them as I inevitably don't like them. I tend to get them from the bargain bins. They're quick reads and sometimes contain interesting info... but the (often) annoying characters don't make up for it.

I think it's more that when I was 14 - 18 I could connect with Georgia and her actions. But then I didn't read another book til I was 21 and by that time her thoughtless actions and the way she goes around hurting anyone and everyone just seemed very childish to me. It might just be because the last books weren't as good, though. I'll let you know when I've reread!

My favourite episode was those bucking broncho stools in the bar in America! I burst out in gigglesnorts on the train and everyone looked at me! Oops!

His mum kept her name. I think I'll take his. He has yet to pop the question! :p

I was in that age bracket when they ended which is probably why I still liked them. I liked the last books. I just liked the series lol.

Ah, with the last books I felt Georgia was being very immature about the whole Masimo thing. And then I was ripped off with an ending that didn't even last a page. I was not a happy camper. I'd expected more from it all and it delivered very little. :(

So far it's pretty good, but I'm not that far in. It sounds like it's going to be quite slow. Rather than being about the chaos that overwhelms the whole country, it's more about the struggle of one girl and her family. I do feel an urge to go and stock up on food, though.

It's not boring to the point where I don't want to read, but it's quite slow in that you're following every day life. Not very many action scenes. There's a scene towards the beginning where everyone is ransacking the supermarket and that's been the most action-filled scene so far!

I'm going to France for my big break 1st week of July and will be back 2nd week August. I have net there so I'll still be around-ish but as the books have just come to Holland from France it doesn't make sense to take them back to France from Holland!

I think this one is one that's meant to be read by the parents to the kids, because it's definitely a 9 - 12 reading range. I couldn't believe how small the font was for that target age!

I haven't read anymore yet... I'm being really lazy :( But I have been through the whole of my wardrobe and put a whole bunch of clothes to one side to give to charity. At least I've done something good with my time!

I thought so, if there's nothing else to be done then I think it's possible to read one or two books a day. I can't remember how fast I read them last time but I seem to remember the type being huge.

That's true, they are. I have memories of reading three in a very short space of time but I don't know if they're fake memories planted there to confuse me!

I did too! Actually, by the Goosebumps guy I preferred the Babysitter series. I think my mum made me sell the books, though, and they're not published anymore. :(

I can be really brutal throwing things away, but clothes... I'll throw away socks with holes in the toes but I'll keep nibbled on t-shirts and jumpers. "I might wear them in the house," thinks I.

Aah, I really enjoyed it. But I enjoyed a lot of the point horror books. I wonder whether I still have any of them... "trick or treat, trick or treat, candy is dandy but murder is sweet." That's the only tagline I can remember. :p

Oh, the bf's got a ton of them! They're full of holes and covered in paint and glue from when we did up the house. He wears them at he weekend but I don't have to iron them so it's ok.

I'm gonna have to dig up all my old book boxes when I'm in France and find out what I've got hiding around the place. I don't think I bought many point horror ones, though. I think I borrowed them from the library. Do they still publish them?

It really is! I wear my good ones to go to school and old ones every other day of the week. When I was working as a postman, when it had got too cold for the shirt they gave me, I'd just go through all my old shirts too. Many of them are now ripped from walking into rose bushes >.<

It's from when I've put the letters through the box, turned my concentration to the next letters in the pile and not paid attention as I turned out of the garden. There was one particular bush with with one of those climbing roses and it'd catch my shoulder at least once a week.

I never liked them. My friend made me watch their show. I only did it so I could watch Are You Afraid of the Dark at their place afterwards!

I'm actually pretty good with spatial awareness most of the time but this one rose... climber, it wasn't really a bush, got me far too often. We have one in our back garden. It's flowering atm, deep red roses. They're very pretty. I wanna dig up some of our greens and replace them with roses. I like roses a lot.
