(I admit I still haven't read 'Green,' but the first three are absolutely phenomenal. :])

Cheers Torie! I'll add it to my TBR and see if I can get me mitts on it!

With that name, I figured you'd read GoT. ;) We have a buddy read for the series! Feel free to join in.

It is general knowledge that the Scarlet Pimpernel was Lord Percy in previous lives and as such, the inventor of "green"!! ;)
I've not read The Scarlet Pimpernel yet but it's on my list of the things I really ought to get around to some day!

My Seasonal read that I am part way through is

On my Next to read slot on my kindle is

Ah Sandra, I'm reading a seasonal one too as my bedtime read. But mine is a Christian romance and the author just keeps harping on about God and the Bible and how we need God to give us our morals, teach us what love is, and help us get through bad situations... and it's starting to rub the wrong way with me.
Matt, so you're a Sci-fi fan? (I went and had a nose around your read shelf ;) ) What's your fave sci-fi book? One you'd recommend to people just dabbling in the genre.

Orwell's 1984 was really good as well.

My boyfriend's always trying to get me to read 1984 and Dune. In all fairness, I've read about ten pages of Dune. :p And I do plan on reading 1984 as soon as I get time from school to really pay attention to what I want to be reading.
I've heard a lot about Ender's Game too. It does seem to be 'the' big sci-fi book out there, after Dune. I'll look for it next time I go shopping! :)

I read it last year. I hated it! I wanted to reach in and punch Katsa in the face. But I seem to be in the minority in this opinion. Lots of people adore it but it just didn't do it for me. On top of that - this happens within the first few chapters, but I'll spoiler it anyway - (view spoiler) ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I haven't read it, but I've heard a lot of crap about it...that the kid doesn't even act like a kid her age, and stuff like that. That basically the story makes no sense.

I'm reading it now, and I am really liking it :]"
AWESOME book..and the second one is just as good...but it will leave you wanting the next one.

I really like it so far...it is a bit raunchy but witty and funny so I am entertained. Though I think I will take a break from Chuck for a few books.
I just started
. I forgot that I preordered it and it was a lovely surprise for me when I turned on my Kindle. I really enjoyed
earlier in the year but I'm trying not to set my expectations too high - I just had them severely disappointment by the second in the Hollows series. :(

Yey! Surprises are always the best! I was hoping for a surprise parcel with
this week, but when I checked they released the hardback version but not the large paperback (which is what I ordered). And no info on when, or even if, the large paperback will be released. >.< So now I'm having to try to get in contact with the people I ordered it from to switch the order to the version that was released.

I have read and enjoyed fantasy books by Christian authors before now. It might help that it's set in another world with other laws. If I find a Dekker book, I might give him a shot. :)
