I have a few Staphen King's to read but I've never heard of that one. Let me know what you think when you finish it. :)

I've not read or seen I Am Legend. Is Will Smith in it? (I don't watch films so I don't know these things). I've not heard of the author though. :)

My brother loves Rick Riordan. I don't think he's read that series though. I shall ask him when he finally emerges from his bed. I've seen a lot of interest in Miss Peregrine, let me know what you think of it. :)

I've got the first book in the Heroes of Olympus series but haven't read it yet. Is it as good as the original Percy Jackson series? I've also got the first book in the other series (the Egyptian one) and haven't read it yet - must remedy this problem!!

Poor Jeshu. :( If it's not for you, it's not for you and you shouldn't have to finish something you're not enjoying. We all know you're secretly longing to read more Martin! I know I am, but I want the scary ghost walkers from beyond the wall to come and start killing off everybody rather than Cersei's endless evil political scheming.

its a really amazing series, really make-you-think stuff. give it a try. (the first book in the trilogy is called The Declaration)

I thought The Declaration Trilogy got worse with every book. I was really disappointed with the end. It was too easy. It was a cop out.
I'm struggling with Pride and Prejudice. Nothing is happening. It makes it difficult to want to read a book.

I've never heard of that. I do like the cover though. It's very simple. :)

Gah! It's that book... again! :P I keep seeing it everywhere. You'll have to let me know what you think of it hun. :)

Yeah, will let you know - only started it this morning so not too far in yet but is ok.

Yeah, you're right, the movie stars Will Smith :-) The book was sooo much better, and Hell House was awesome. 'The Mount Everest of haunted houses' :-)

I got a pick of movie knowledge right! Woohoo! (Sorry I know nothing about films so when I get something right, I celebrate.) I might check out the book at some point during my life. :)

Lol well done!! :-) I actually managed to hunt out the movie The Legend of Hell House, and it was a real disappointment. I'll stick to the book any time; it's usually the way though, right? Now I'm reading

Cheers! :) Yeah it does unfortunately which may be why I don't bother with films that much... It's all starting to make sense now... :P)
Ooooh! I love Queen. I love Freddie. Just awesome. :)
I've just read
, which I won in a contest, and I really enjoyed it! It goes on the approved list for Tara. ;)
I'm back to reading
, which I started back in August. It was recommended that we read it before classes started up again but I'm glad that I didn't read it all then as already the first part of it is just a distant, fuzzy memory and we're not studying it in depth until December.
And I've read the first few pages of
in preparation for the November group read. Hopefully I'll get more of that read this evening.

I'm back to reading

And I've read the first few pages of

Then I'm gonna move on to the "His Dark Materials" trilogy. Has anyone read these and if so, what did you think of it? I've been meaning to read it for years but never got round to it. You know how it is, so many books, so little time.

Woo! I'm waiting for the next one too. It's going to be released in hardback first, though. Bleurk! Hopefully it'll be out in paperback by next summer. :)

I got sucked in by
when I bought it after missing my train home. The train only comes once every half hour and I'd missed it by seconds (SO annoying!). This was the only English-language book that piqued my interest on sale in the station. I'm going through alternating phases of enjoying it and being frustrated by the heroine. But I'm only 100 pages off this end so I'll finish this one before I read anything else. :)

It is a really old series so asking was a bit of a long shot but I thought, "you never know".

It tops Mortal Coil? OMG!!! I loved that one!!! The end: :O (view spoiler) I know!!! I'm waiting for the little mini story in March.["br"]>["br"]>

I read that about the third book during the review. I find that worrying as it's the last one. I hate it when I feel let down by an ending. I don't mind it being dark tbh, I'm an adult, I can handle it... hopefully. :P

I read His Dark Materials about ten years ago. I don't remember much about it all but I do remember really liking all three books.
