Volk crawled out of his nest and sat down in the middle of the clearing and began to groom himself.

Rakingpaw sat under a bush in camp, watching everyone.

Longclaw sat near the fresh-kill pile and watched all the cats.

Rakingpaw narrowed his blue-purple eyes. He walked out of the bush and to Longclaw.

Volk finished grooming himself and settled down with his paws tucked underneath him to survey the camp.

"Hello Rankingpaw," she mewed and narrowed her eyes at him.

Rakingpaw nodded. "Can we do some battle training today?"

"Sure why not" she smiled evily and got up. She walked toward the entrance of the camp.

They soon reached where they did most of their training, "Why don't we go over of what we already learned?"

"Alright, mok fight me" she got in the middle of the clearing and got ready.

Rakingpaw nodded, making sure his claws were sheathed. He didn't want to hurt her. He shot under her and pawed her belly.

She smiled and jumped out of the way "Don't go for the belly for your first move"

Rakingpaw cocked his head. "why not? It bleeds more and has a better chance to kill..."

"Yes but they'll be acpecting it"

Volk decided to take a stroll out into the forest. He heard noises in the training spot and crept up to it. He silently observed from under a pine bush, where he wouldn't be easily seen or scented.

"Wrong, they'll be waiting for that too. Wait till they are worn down some."

Rakingpaw nodded. "Ok, so I go for the sides?"

"Attack from diffrent angles, confuse them some get them distracted from their weak points."

Rakingpaw rolled his eyes and nodded.

Volk snorted in amusement. Stupid clan cats. One well aimed blow is all that is needed...

She smiled, "Now put what I just told you and attack me"

Rakingpaw nodded, he shot twords her and hit her left side, then the ritgh.

Volk watched in amusement from under his bush. No one could see him and he was being greatly amused by the clan cats' feeble attempts at good combat skills. He snorted in amusement again.

She smiled and tried to hit him, "Good be fast and quick!"

Rkingpaw jumped back and grabbed her neck. He perked his ears. "Hear that?" He paused.

I wonder how they would respond if I hid my scent with Thunderclan scent and sprang out and attcked them...

"What?" she twisted herself to make him let go.

"Let's cheack it out." she stood up and sniffed the air.

Volk leaped into the nearest tree and scrambled as high as he could get.

"What are you doing here!" she jumped back and looked up at the tree.

"Have I no right to be on my own clan territory?" he hissed back down.

"I meant what are you doing snooping around!" she hissed right back at him.

"I have no right to watch my clan's training methods?" he shot back down.

"You do! Why where you hiding?" she challenged him.

"AS so not to distract," he growled down slyly.

Rakingpaw bared his teeth. "Get away! We're training!"

"Then train," his eyes were glinting from close to the top of the pine tree.

Rakingpaw growled."Get away!" He jumped at him.

"He can stay, if he wishes to." she purred and turned away from his tree "Let's get back to our training."

He purred in amusement at the apprentice's feeble attempt to reach him.

Rakingpaw growled. "Not until he leaves."
