Coming from the mind of an LDS follower, the aspects in the novel are actually more believable. And yes I believe Stephanie is trying to live vicariously through Bella because many (not all of course) LDS people only have sex to procreate and I have met and lived around MANY that are closet porn addicts or nymphos. Sex is still viewed as an act of making babies and therefor any of the other bits are considered taboo and frowned upon and often not tried or found out until much later in life.The Vampire is gonna accidentally kill the mortal then runs an exact parallel to the abstinence theme that many major religions will push. Abstinence is fine and dandy if that's what you believe in...but it is true that a 100 year old vampire stuck in a 17 year old's body would be like that Moonlight episode..."Arrested Development"....aren't Vampires supposed to be the "lovers" of the dark world? LOL!
I personally found Jacob Black's character more intriguing and believable...Edward and Bella were certainly more predictable. But I am a Werewolf fanatic, so shape-shifter lore is fascinating to me. And Stephanie made a GRAVE mistake calling what Jacob is, a "werewolf"...because there is a greusome difference...so for the sake of people bashing Stephanie's "werewolves" I will agree, they are NOT werewolves in any conventional sense! It is believed however that shape shifters most certainly existed AND that Stephanie's portrayal of them is very accurate.

Ah, well.Pancakes and waffles are essentially the same thing, but I still like pancakes better.

I remember reading a comic strip like this about KH.

well,there are some parts in his personality that just very psycho.but i admit i kinda like how he can love bella so much-although it's SO unrealistic.who doesn't want that kind of love? :-p
One of the things that annoys me is how the Cullens keep repeating high school for no reason. Other vampire books have characters in high school, but those books provide reasons why the characters are in high school for example the House of Night series and Evernight. Even if you don’t like those books, the point is they have reasons why the characters are in high school and I am sure most other books do also. In the House of Night series, the characters are in high school because they were at high school before they started becoming vampires, and in Evernight they are at high school because it is a school for vampires who have lost touch with the modern world and technology. There were reasons why they were in high school, but in Twilight, we are just expected to believe that the five of them would repeat high school over and over again, and move every few years only to do it again. If they could live forever, wouldn't they do something useful and fun with their lives rather than repeating high school endlessly, especially when they have degrees which would allow them to have good jobs?
What about Carlisle though? Do you mean they can't have jobs because they look too young, but Carlisle can because he looks older, or are you not talking about Carlisle aswell?
..i'm still convinced edward's a fairy. just sayin.
