Tânia (taninha) I liked Keeping Faith, but it's not one of my favorites. Finished reading Sing You Home a few days ago, also very interesting with a fairly satisfying end, and next I'd like to read Picture Perfect and Vanishing Acts.

message 102: by Ashlee (new)

Ashlee (ashlee_) | 83 comments The last book I read by her, The Tenth Circle, I didn't find all that interesting. It wasn't bad, but not one of my favorites. That, and "Perfect Match" I could have gone without reading. I'm really hoping that I enjoy Keeping Faith.

message 103: by Tânia (new)

Tânia (taninha) The Tenth Circle had a good concept, but I think the movie was bad :S Ashlee, Keeping Faith reminded of Change of Heart, which I really liked.

message 104: by Laura (new)

Laura C I really like Keeping Faith...took me a bit to get into it, but the ending was worth it.

message 105: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Just finished Keeping Faith, currently halfway into Sing You Home. Next up is Songs of the Humpback Whale.

message 106: by Ashlee (new)

Ashlee (ashlee_) | 83 comments Tania,

Yea they did sound like similar books. I enjoyed Change of Heart so I am hoping to enjoy Keeping Faith as well. Thanks for the input!

Ashlee I agree about both of those books. They were my least favorite JP reads.

message 108: by Paolai (new)

Paolai | 5 comments which of jodi picoult's books has the most romance in it?

message 109: by Amanda (new)

Amanda I'm more than halfway into Sing You Home, but I'm not liking it as much as I thought I would...it just doesn't seem on par with the other books of JP's I've read...disappointed but I'm going to keep going of course.

message 110: by Bev (new)

Bev Absolutely LOVE Keeping Faith! It is definitely my favorite. This one just struck a chord for me. Love the character of Ian Fletcher.

message 111: by Bryanna (new)

Bryanna | 7 comments I just finished Songs of the Humpback Whale, so I guess I'll start on Mercy....

message 112: by Rene (new)

Rene | 10 comments Amanda, I did not enjoy Sing You Home either. I just could not relate at all to the characters in the story. I was disappointed because I had looked so forward to its release. I love the others that I have read.

message 113: by Bev (new)

Bev I also did not like Sing You Home. The characters and plot just did not ring true to me. A lot of it felt contrived. It's the only Jodi Picoult book that I have really disliked, so I guess I will cut her some slack on this one!

message 114: by Paolai (new)

Paolai | 5 comments besides 19 minutes and My sister's keeper what other book by JP is a good read for an 18 year old?

message 115: by Tânia (new)

Tânia (taninha) Paolai wrote: "besides 19 minutes and My sister's keeper what other book by JP is a good read for an 18 year old?"

The Pact or The Tenth Circle.

message 116: by Ashlee (new)

Ashlee (ashlee_) | 83 comments Plain Truth was about a young girl, not necessarily sure if you're looking for books that have younger characters or not but Plain Truth was one of my favorites. Salem Falls was also a good one, with a younger group of characters- all teenagers 17 years old or so.

message 117: by Katy (new)

Katy (katybean27) | 9 comments Just finished The Tenth Circle. I really liked it.

message 119: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine Miller | 2 comments I wish Change of Heart would be made into a movie, I think it's a great story.

message 120: by no_hullabaloo (new)

no_hullabaloo | 1 comments I haven't read a Jodie Picoult book for a while. Though I did enjoy Handle With Care and Nineteen Minutes. They were very gripping, and I thoroughly enjoyed them!

"The Pact" was the very first JP book to make me cry. One of my all time favorites, you should definitely read!

message 130: by Ashlee (last edited Feb 20, 2012 09:31AM) (new)

Ashlee (ashlee_) | 83 comments The last book of hers that I read was "The Tenth Circle" which wasn't bad, but wasn't all that great either. Only Perfect Match and The Tenth Circle were books of hers I didn't fall in love with. I'm currently reading "House Rules" though and I am LOVING it! Next month my friend and I are going to meet her on her Lone Wolf book tour. I am sooooo stoked!!

Plain truth is my favorite JP novel! I've never read Mercy, but I can tell you that Second Glance is my second favorite JP novel so far :)

message 135: by Ashlee (last edited Feb 29, 2012 07:56AM) (new)

Ashlee (ashlee_) | 83 comments I just finished House Rules a few days ago. Trying to wait about a week and then read her new book "Lone Wolf", because I'm going to see her in 18 days and I want the story to be fresh in my mind. :)

message 136: by [deleted user] (new)

I'v just started reading her new release: Lone Wolf. I'm so excited, I think it's going to be an awesome book. I'v only read a page or two at the moment but it seems interesting so far. Jodi Picoult really knows how to capture you from the first page.

Tracy I am on the waiting list at the library for this one. Hope to get it soon. Can't wait to read a new Picoult book. I couldn't get into Sing You Home so I gave up on it. First time I have ever done that with Picoult.

Sing You Home just needed my patience. I always try not to drop any Picoult books. So far i haven't. I just try to be patient with them. Sing You Home was a good book though.

Michele | chapter_master_ | 4 comments Currently reading Nineteen Minutes. It took me a while to work up the courage to read this book (being a mother of a high schooler and an almost middle schooler) but I'm really enjoying it. I feel horrible for the families of the victims but I also feel sad for how the young boy has been tormented his entire life. No excuses, of course, for the horrible act but what mother wouldn't feel sad for a lonely kid?

I am a parent myself and I completly understand. We think we do everything to raise our kids right and sometimes it isn't good enough. My heart goes out to the parents of this boy as well.
