Why are we all going so off-topic?! Anyway, what I wanted to say is; Bella is pathetic beyond words. Seriously, she is kind of way to dependent in being with Edward and being such a wimp and scaredy-cat.

Let me ask you guys something - why is it that we tend to hate Bella more than we hate Edward? I mean, Edward is creepy and everything, but we tend to just accept that. But Bella? I absolutely despise the woman for being so weak and stupid and whiny. I've been thinking about this and I need to think a bit more to formulate a proper answer for it, but I want to ask you guys what you think the reason is first.

I absolutely desp..."Speaking for myself, I grew up in the age of Xena, Storm, Buffy and other kick-ass heroines and to me Bella feels like some throw-back to the weak-willed, waiting for the knight in shining armor type characters. The sad part is, there are a lot of young girls who think Edward's behavior as a vampire is a template for real-life relationships; that a boy telling them who they can hang out with and what they can do is "romantic". It's not, it's abusive.
Bella was actually tolerable in the first book, but as I read on, she became less so and by the end of Breaking Dawn, I wanted to slap her silly. She spent most of the time in the second book mooning over Edward and using her "friendship" with Jacob to try and get over him. There's heartbreak, then there's ridiculously self-absorbed to the point of destruction.

lol, my brother really wanted to watch the movie(b4 he saw it)... i told him it was for girls, and then called him a twinerd(once again) he got upset and ended up being bratty the whole day...

I had to struggle to get through it. It drained my life so much that I couldn't make myself get through the third book, and that's where I stopped. On a side note, I have a dog who I named Belladonna Took. I found the name in The Hobbit. After having her a few years I just slipped into calling her Bella for short. Now, when I tell people about her I have to go back to calling her Belladonna again. I don't want anyone thinking I named my dog for that....that....well, anyway, it's just another way in which Twilight has changed my life. :D

That isn't nearly as bad as the whole cullen family masquerading on a Ragnarok Online server I used to play. I think they meant it as a joke, though, since that guy is pretty cynical and owns a character called "Hannah Montana" along with Alice Cullen

Jenada85-i no how u feel about ur dogs name being screwed over cuz of twilight. my name is isabella and some ppl called me bella before the whole twilight pandemic started and i was cool with that but now i hate it cuz of stupid bella. my friends no i hate the series and they call me bella to make me mad. btw im new to the group!

I had to introduce her as Belladonna just last Sunday. The girl I was introducing her to is a big Twilight fan, so I wasn't going to take any chances. I always thought Isabella was such a pretty name. I even thought about that as a name for any future daughters of mine, but now I just don't know...no offense to you and your name meant. :)
