((We are off track. Oops! What is Dillon? What cabin?))

Kelsey saw a glimpse of the guy that walked passed her. She smiled on the inside. Kelsey wasn't a big reader herself, but she hadn't seen the library recently. He dark hair blew to the left as the breeze came into the library through open windows.

Ckat Myla (ckatmyla) ((Sorry, Persephone))

The computers didn’t seem to be password-protected, so Dillon didn’t have any trouble pulling up a search engine for the database. He wasn’t sure what to type first. Perhaps just more on his mother-not-mom (as was his distinction).

message 203: by [deleted user] (new)

((Okay.))

She sat in the mythological creatures section, and studied her creatures for her upcoming test. SHe wondered who that boy was. She hadn't seen him at camp.

message 204: by Ckat (new)

Ckat Myla (ckatmyla) Just typing in her name (& he was glad he’d spelled it correctly) brought up a few hundred hits, he thought he’d be safe with the first.

message 205: by [deleted user] (new)

She peeked out behind the bookshelf to find a small boy only 10 or 11. She walked up to check out a book to study. SHe saw the boy, and sat next to him.

message 206: by Ckat (new)

Ckat Myla (ckatmyla) It looked like a bio page on the spring goddess, and as he scoured the page he recognized certain parts of her story like her mother Demeter & marriage to Hades, this knowledge certainly added to this new extended family he hadn’t known he had.

He’d been reading when the girl from before sat down, and it gave him a little start. Did all the girls pop out of nowhere here?

“Hello,’ he said, but it came out more like a question than a greeting.

message 207: by [deleted user] (new)

Kelsey answered plolitely. "Hello. I'm Kelsey. And your name is...?"

message 208: by Ckat (new)

Ckat Myla (ckatmyla) “Dillon,’ he answered simply. “Dillon McBrayer’.

message 209: by [deleted user] (new)

"Pleasure." Kelsey smiled, and looked at her computer.

message 210: by Ckat (new)

Ckat Myla (ckatmyla) Taking her lead, Dillon looked back at his computer, but he thought he might as well ask, since she’d sat next to him. “So, which cabin are you in?”

message 211: by [deleted user] (new)

"Demeter. And you?"

message 212: by Ckat (new)

Ckat Myla (ckatmyla) “Oh, I’m in Persephone.” Then Dillon made the connection. “So that makes you sorta like my…aunt?”

message 213: by [deleted user] (new)

"Not really, Demter is like your half aunt. I guess?" Kelsey said. She started to laugh a little.

message 214: by Ckat (new)

Ckat Myla (ckatmyla) “Grandmother", he said, double-checking the page. “But I guess if you start connecting everyone you might get a headache.” He added in some laughter too, but careful not to be too loud.

message 215: by [deleted user] (new)

" Yeah, I guess," said Kelsey. She was shy, and only showed her real personality around the people she knew best.

message 216: by Ckat (new)

Ckat Myla (ckatmyla) He began opening more pages, and there seemed to be a number of ones on her children as well, but nothing more than standard camp-registry looking files. He noticed there didn’t seem to be many male offspring.

Dillon decided to speak up again to Kelsey. “Can I ask, are there a lot of other kids in your cabin?”

message 217: by [deleted user] (new)

"Yeah, it is pretty packed. We need an extension to our cabin almost! Why?" She aksed Dillon.

message 218: by Ckat (new)

Ckat Myla (ckatmyla) “Just wondering,” he said. “There aren’t as many in mine, least as far as I can tell.” He wasn’t quite sure if he would prefer more people, at least it was quieter.

message 219: by [deleted user] (new)

"Yeah, most people never hear about Pershepones. Most don't even get to camp." Kelsey looked down at the floor.

message 220: by Ckat (last edited Sep 10, 2011 11:14AM) (new)

Ckat Myla (ckatmyla) Don’t get to camp? That sounded kind of ominous to Dillon, he hadn’t thought about kids of gods not actually making it to camp before. He hadn’t considered the fact that he might be lucky to have been brought here.

“Yeah, I hadn’t heard much about her either really,” he said, trying not to let on about his mini-revelation. (it might have been common knowledge for all he knew). “I wanted to learn more though, so I’ve been looking her up on here.” He gestured to the screen.

((I need to hop off for a while, but thank you for humoring a new-ish person, hope I'm still doing alright. :))

message 221: by [deleted user] (new)

"Cool." Said Kelsey. She heard that people never made it to camp, especially if they were born in the underworld.

This certain slumber-ridden camper was slowly flipping through the pages of an old children's book she remembered from long ago. She had found it on one of the tables, and it had brought a bitter-sweet smile to her lips. Her fingers delicately pinched the corner of a page, gently scanning the next page.

She sat in one of the chairs, legs crossed at the ankles and bags under her eyes. A large sweatshirt she had borrowed from her brother swallowed her up, frail body barely visible.

message 223: by Annie (new)

Annie Michaelangela walked in, gown-like dress flowing behind her. The scents of summer wafted off of the tiny girl- wheat, hay and sunlight. Her reddish-brown eyes scanned the room, landing on the small daughter of Hypnos.

A small smile crossed Michaelangela's pale lips as she waltzed across the room and took a seat beside her friend.

Ronnie looked up, a warm smile painting her tired-looking face. "Hey Mikai. You look pretty." She commented, lightly setting down the book with care. Wondering if her friend had heard about Santiago, but she wasn't going to bring it up.

((They're friends. Ronnie used to be social butterfly, tottally in love with Eros camper Santiago. He suddenly dissapeared one day a year ago. Ronnie was all depressed and dissapeared, fading to the background. Scarred and hurt, she didn't know why he left. Now he's back, but he's keeping from her why he ever left. It keeps her up.))

message 225: by Annie (new)

Annie ((okie;)))
Michaelangela (... whim was right. That's a mouthful haha) smiled softly. "Thanks. You look... /tired/," she said honestly. "Everything alright?"

Kat (sugaraddict) | 11750 comments Mod
Ronnie's hand instinctively reached up, wiping her eyes from whatever sleep crust they might have held. But they hadn't she realized what she really looked tired from. Since Charity hadn't been her friend, she realized she hadn't really told anyone about what has happened besides her siblings. "Santiago is back." The words sounded a little pained, and Ronnie winced at her own pitiful voice. "I should be happy, but everything is so screwed up."

message 227: by Annie (new)

Annie Her thin lips rounded into a frown, and Michaelangela gave her friend a hug. "I'm sorry. Is he alright?"

message 228: by Kat, Goddess of Dramatic Exits and Strawberry Yogurt (new)

Kat (sugaraddict) | 11750 comments Mod
"He's fine." I'm not., She thought bitterly. But her friend made her feel better, knowing someone was there she could count on. But, that's what she thought about the Santiago, and Charitey. Suddenly, she had a sharp intake of breath. It happened at the same time, there was some connection. Eureka. If one admitted, both would be exposed.

((This probably make no sense to you whatsoever. Charitey was her best friend, and then when Santiago left she just stopped. I'm not sure if Ivi wants people to know, but there's a reason that Ronnie doesn't know about.))

message 229: by Annie (new)

Annie ((okay xD))
Michaelangela cocked her head to the side and arched a blonde eyebrow. "How about you?"

"I-I-I..." Ronnie stammered, blushing a rosy color unable to finish her sentence. Her eyes found her hands that were resting in her pockets. "I'm confused and hurt, honestly. He won't tell me why he left, and the reason why he came back is so cryptic I can't make any sense of it." She admitted quietly.

message 231: by Annie (new)

Annie A small smile lit up Michaelangela's expression. "Well, why did he come back? What's cryptic about it?"

"It's something about 'he couldn't be a coward forever'. I'm not sure, it's all so blurry. And emotional." She wasn't sure if it was blurry because she was sleepy, or because her mind was blocking out that nightmare. Michaelangela's smile reassured her, though and Ronnie smiled back with her warm eyes.

message 233: by Annie (new)

Annie She pursed her lips. "Seems dark. Something I wouldn't want to get into."

"Too bad I'm such a little bugger. I'd get out of it but..." She glanced at the girl. "I need to know why he left. Things were so good, it was so abrupt." She inwardly groaned at the way this sounded like a chick flick romance novell. Not caring to add she still had feelings for him.

message 235: by Annie (new)

Annie ((chick flick(;))
Michaelangela smiled a little. "I understand. Just don't get sucked in and lose your life or something."

"I don't think I'll die. And, I'm pretty much at rock bottom. I mean, I'm reading The Little Engine That Could." She let out a bitter laugh at the book on the table.

message 237: by Annie (new)

Annie Michaelangela gave her a disbelieving look. "Really?/The little Engine that Could/?"

message 238: by Kat, Goddess of Dramatic Exits and Strawberry Yogurt (new)

Kat (sugaraddict) | 11750 comments Mod
"Really. I saw it so I picked it up and read it." She explained.

message 239: by Annie (new)

Annie "That's sad," she said with a laugh. You need to get out more."

message 240: by Kat, Goddess of Dramatic Exits and Strawberry Yogurt (new)

Kat (sugaraddict) | 11750 comments Mod
"But where to go? And who to see? I've become so un-social." She furthermore explained.

message 241: by Annie (new)

Annie "Make yourself social."

/I'm one to talk.../

Kat (sugaraddict) | 11750 comments Mod
"In the mess hall?" Ronnie nervously clarified.

message 243: by Annie (new)

Annie "Sure. Anywhere, really."

message 244: by Kat, Goddess of Dramatic Exits and Strawberry Yogurt (new)

Kat (sugaraddict) | 11750 comments Mod
"Well then I'll be social with you." Ronnie decided, she was.

message 245: by Annie (new)

Annie Michaelangela snorted. "I don't count."

message 246: by Kat, Goddess of Dramatic Exits and Strawberry Yogurt (new)

Kat (sugaraddict) | 11750 comments Mod
"Why not?" She asked.

message 247: by Annie (new)

Annie "Because you know me."

"But I know everyone at camp!" Ronnie protested, a foolish smile penetrating her glum mood. The cuffs of her sweatshirt were pulled up to her knuckles, as she bit the end of her thumb nail to clamp down her smile with no success.

message 249: by Annie (new)

Annie A smirk. "I highly doubt that."

"Hey, you'd be surprised. In my 'popular' days I was quite the busy bee." She protested lightheartedly.
