You enter the marsh and the first thing you notice is the moist thick air and the drone of swarms of insects. Each step you take sends up clouds of these things and many are mosquitos and biting flies. You wave your hands to fend them off but there's so many.
You slog through the swamp. The part you travel on is slick mud. You often fall down a lot. Covered in mud and nasty water you travel about 100 ft.
It takes you 2 rounds to slog through this section of the swamp. (2 minutes)

You can only see around 20 feet around you, the fog is very thick. I lied actually it took you around 5 minutes to slog through the swamp.
Jaide sees lots of water, with small pools of nasty water in it.

This part of the swamp is covered in plants. You slog on for another 5 minutes and you travel for about 100 feet.

The group trudges up forward another hundred feet. Nothing of the unforgiving landscape changes, still the green plant covered swamp that they were just in.

Volmere says "This is muck is sticking to everything! The whole swamp cant be like this, can it?"



"Split up? In a swamp? Go fools, I stay here and wait."

"Jaide and I will head up. Drake and Dav head right. Orthea and Harney stay here then?" Volemer says.
Jaide and Volmer walk up towards the right from where the others were waiting. Dav and Drake faded into the mist and suddenly it was just the two of them.
Volmer said to Jaide, "Be careful." and he drew his hammer and his shield.
They walked for about 50 and saw an end to the muck and swamp. The land up here is higher and dry.
"High ground!" cried Volmer.
Dav and Drake slog through more swamp before returning in 10 minutes.

As Drake and Dav advance they hear a hiss coming from the other side of a patch of reeds. Another hiss follows it, this one is louder and deeper.
