Page 95-96:"As other students told similar stories about pushing themselves to develop, we began to notice an interesting pattern. The ones who felt they were climbing the ladder of expertise invariably were engaging in what we could call performance - real-world, hand-on, and often public application of their developing knowledge and skills."
Teachers must all learn how to make this kind of practice happen in the classroom. This change in pedagogy is the key to reaching so many kids.
