((Alright))Katia and Jaxon were in their front yard playing catch. Jaxon had the mitt, and Katia was throwing him the ball, since they both loved sports.
"Want to go continue this at the park?" Katia asked Jaxon."Alright." he said
"Bet I can beat you there." Katia challenged.
"Oh, you're on." Jaxon said with a smile, and then they started running towards the park.
"Ow!" Jaxon said, a hand to his forehead. "Watch where you're going, dude."Katia, after noticing that her brother had stopped, skidded to a stop, and made a u-turn, stopping next to Jaxon.
"Oh, I'm fine. And everyone's a dude to me. I don't like dudette. It sounds like Dudes are a rock band, and the Dudettes are their groupies." Jaxon said.
"Cool." Jaxon said. "Well, I'm Jaxon, and this is my sis Katia." "Hey." Katia said.
"Sure." Jaxon and Katia said at the same time.
Jaxon and Katia followed. "I so totally beat you." Katia murmured to Jaxon."Did not. you can't beat someone if neither of us made it to the finished line." Jaxon replied.
"I went farther than you. Therefore: I beat you." Katia insisted.
"Yeah." Jaxon said."An obstacle? It is not my fault he didn't look where he was going." Katia said.
"Ok." Katia said."Ready...set...go!" Jaxon said, and they started running.
Katia tried to run faster then Nate, but was behind Jaxon.Jaxon tried to get ahead of Chelsea, and stay ahead of Katia.
Jaxon stopped next to her. "Are you ok?" Katia asked, stopping next to Jaxon.
Jaxon and Katia laughed. "I guess falling can be fun sometimes." Jaxon agreed.
"I think she did." Katia said, pointing to Chelsea. "I mean, she did hit the fence first."
"Ok, then it's official. Chelsea, me, Katia, and Nate." Jaxon said, listing the order of the 'winners'.
"What are you guys going to play?" Jaxon asked.
"You play baseball?" Katia asked, her wavering interest focusing back on them.
"Sweet." Katia said. "I'm a pitcher or third base.""And I do outfield or first base." Nate said.
"Fast." Katia answered.Jaxon was trying to figure out how he'd managed to be faster than Katia, who was normally faster than him, and was paying little attention to the conversation.
"Cool." Katia said. Jaxon turned his focus back on the conversation. "So, which school do ya'll go to?" he asked.
"I go to St. Bernard's Catholic all boys high school." Jaxon said."And I go to St. Mary's Catholic all girls high school." Katia said.
"We see each other after school and weekends." Jaxon said. "Luckily they don't keep us at school all the time.""Yeah. And an all girl's school isn't that bad. The only downside would be the fact that girls seem to be a bit more competitive. And with that competition comes manners, meaning you can't really tell who's on your side." Katia said.
"Yes." Jaxon agreed, "Which is why when our parents insisted on sending us to single gender high schools, we insisted that they not be boarding schools. Originally, they wanted to send me to...China, and Katia to Britain. They thought it would be a cultural experience.""We barely dodged that." Katia added.
"Yes," Katia said, leaning an elbow on Jaxon's shoulder, "It would be. Out parents are - nicely put - extremists."
"No." Katia said. "It's annoying.""Katia, calm down. Just because you happened to sneeze three times in a row in the fifth grade during a parent chaperoned field trip, and Mom and Dad put you in a bio-hazard suit and took you to the hospital in front of the whole class doesn't make them annoying." Jaxon said. "...oh wait, it does, nevermind." he said.
"It's not funny!" Katia snapped."Katia, calm down." Jaxon said. Then he turned to Nate. "It was to the historical wax museum."
Katia took a deep breath. When she let it out she said, "Sorry for snapping at you.""She's been touchy on that subject since Jacob Gustav joined the rest of the class in calling her bio-girl." Jaxon said.
"We went to a co-ed school through middle school. Jacob was the name of a guy she had a crush on." Jaxon said."Dumping you on the road freshman year?" Katia asked.
"Well that sounds like it sucks." Jaxon said."Yeah." Katia agreed.
"Alright." Jaxon said, walking onto the field, followed by Katia.
Jaxon caught the ball. Then said, "Nate." and threw it to him.
Katia caught it. "Chelsea." and threw it to her quickly.
"Sorry!" Katia called from where she was.
Katia, who had never been asked out on a date before in her life, was slightly confused. "Was that a joke?" she asked unsurely.
Katia stood there trying to grasp the concept. "Just say yes!" Jaxon called from his spot.
Katia shrugged, figuring that her brother wouldn't tell her to do anything bad, and said, "Ok, Sure."
"Thank you." Katia said, referring to the 'that I like' part.
"So, when and where?" Katia asked, referring to the...date.
"And meet you where?" Katia asked, slightly confused by the 'nive casula' part.((What does that mean anyway?))
"You don't know where I live." Katia pointed out.

"Alright then. You can pick me up at 1766 Preston Ln." Katia said.
Katia left to hre house to change."Sure." Jaxon answered.
Jaxon caught the ball and threw it back.Katia had taken a shower, and was in her room staring at the contents of her closet. She'd never been on a date before. What did you wear? And what the heck was formal casual? She stood there, contemplating this.
"It's ok. I mean, I think boys act better when there are no girls to show off to. I mean, in middle school I used to get teased all the time. But at this school, everyone's treated with the same respect." Jaxon said.Katia stared at her clothes some more. After a while, she decided to get dressed in some dark jeans and a light pink blouse with a tan jacket and black boots.
