Ronyell (rabbitearsblog) | 101 comments I have read 14 books from this list and other books that were banned that I have read are:

1) Sylvester and the Magic Pebble - the police were pigs
2) The Lorax - some schools thought that the book was trying to say that industrialization is bad.
3) Captain Underpants series

I was wondering why did they banned the following books: The Stupids, Halloween ABC, James and the Giant Peach, The Witches, Where's Waldo, and The Outsiders.

Angela | 21 comments I think I've read 15 of them. Julie of the Wolves was my favorite book when I was a kid.

Suzanne (thisoilfieldwife) | 134 comments I have read 16 of these books (counting the series as a single book) and wonder why so many of them were challenged/banned. I personally loved almost every one of them that I read.
