Geraldine Interesting concepts. Before the being introduced to this book, I never thought of the world being flat. Yet, I agree it is indeed flat. In summary, the book outlines several reasons why because of the Internet, web browsers, outsourcing services all over the world and other technological advances, the playing field for competing to produce services has been leveled now because the producers of services and products are competing with companies and persons all over the world in that the Internet has eliminated the physical gap between geographical locations. The book also introduced me to the term "homesourcing", meaning companies that allow employees to work from home.
