"But why isn't he with you?" he leaned forward.
He leaned back, putting his fingertips together, frowning. "That doesn't sound at all like him."
"You really shouldn't lie to me like that, Alice. Tell me the truth. Where is he?"
He sighed. "You're making this harder for yourself, Alice. Take her." he waved the suits off. The nodded, and began to take her to the cell.
Hatter sighed. He wasn't mad at Alice anymore. He just wanted to see her again. He began, reluctantly, making his way back to the castle.
Hatter sighed. He wasn't mad at Alice anymore. He just wanted to see her again. He began, reluctantly, making his way back to the castle.
The Hatter looked up, hearing a scream. "What the...." he ran to the castle.
Jack tutted and shook his head as the two suits took her to the holding cell.
Jack tutted and shook his head as the two suits took her to the holding cell.
"...Alice?" he said to himself, rushing up to the castle doors, and beating his fists on them. Seeing as there was no answer, he went round the back, and wrenched open the door.
They threw her into the cell, and left her there.
They threw her into the cell, and left her there.
"Alice?" he yelled as he climbed staircases.
"Alice!" he found a door, and opened it. Behind it wasn't Alice. It was Jack.
"Jack?" he said. "Where's Alice? What have you done with her?"
"Oh, hello, Hatter. It's been a while." he said smoothly.
"Jack?" he said. "Where's Alice? What have you done with her?"
"Oh, hello, Hatter. It's been a while." he said smoothly.
Her voice distracted him. "If you've hurt her, I swear, you are dead, Jack Heart." But Jack merely smiled. "I don't think so, Hatter." he said, as a couple of suits made to take Hatter in the same way they'd taken Alice. He wrenched his wrists away, and before they could try again, he punched Jack squarely in the face, and then ran out of the door, calling for Alice.
He found her. "Alice!" he rushed over to the cell.
"I don't care if I was mad! I'm gonna help you now." he said, looking around for some way to get her out.
"Is there a lock?" he said, looking for one.
He found it. "Erm, do you have a hairpin?"
"Of course you do." he muttered, picking the lock. "Why wouldn't you?"
"I'm fine." he smiled up at her, picking the lock, so it sprung open. "There we go." he said, stepping back.
He hugged her back, finally glad to be with her.
"It's okay, Alice." he said, pulling away. "You need to go home, though."
He didn't answer, just looked out of the window at the damaged Wonderland.
"Alice, Jack has been destroying Wonderland. He's become his mother. Do you really expect me to turn my back on that?"
He let a smile play across his lips. "You were like this last time, too."
He smiled. "And I don't want you hurt."
"But you'll get killed here, Hatter! You've gotta come home with me! You have a place to live, a job... Hatter, you have me!" Alice was starting to go frantic. She didn't want Hatter to leave her!
He was torn. "Alice, I'll come back. But not when wonderland is like this!"
