Wow, this thread pings my *wow* strings. I love internet radio.

I also have some cool programs I started, around that same time. School projects, and such.

I don't understand it yet though. Apparently you create stations based on an artist you enter and I entered J. Geils Band and got one JGB song and then it started playing songs by other artists. Can you ever get it to play a bunch of songs by one artist?

message 8: by [ JT ] (new)

[ JT ] I've been a Last.FM user for a while. Definitely my favorite music site. I only use it for stats though, never for their radio option. It's very interesting to see the number of times I've scrobbled a certain song, the span of time between the listens, etc. Very cool site.

I tried Pandora today and, I don't know, I'm not really sold. I told it to find me a Chopin station and it gave me pieces I wasn't really interested in, then quickly moved onto other composers. You can only skip a certain number of songs before being forced to give a thumbs up, or request a new search term. And after a few minutes it wanted me to register.

message 18: by Pat (new)

Pat (patb37) I also do not like Pandora. I use jango.com at work. I have not tried it for classical music, but it looks like it would not be very good. It is geared more to pop.
