Well, I was going to suggest Ham on Rye but I see Ellen has read that...So, I shall instead suggest If on a Winter's Night a Traveler by Italo Calvino.
If on a Winter's Night a Traveler by Italo Calvino

Janice Sounds interesting. Let's do it to it.

E Dukes (ecdukes) | 4 comments I'm down. Just gotta check it out from my library. When should we read it by?

UHH it's not at janice's library I think. Soo we were gonna go for One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest but I think you've read that? The other option thrown around was Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino.

Yeah I think it is going to be Invisible Cities by Italo Carvino.
Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino
I don't know how long you guys need. It's about 165 pages and I have nothing to do so I don't need long.

E Dukes (ecdukes) | 4 comments Lawlz, I just checked out the first book. But I'm pretty sure my library had Invisible Cities as well. I think if I start now I can get it done reasonably soon before classes start really trolling me.
I don't know why, but this is so awesome we have a book group!

There's only one Chris F. We should definitely start putting the "The" before it though.

I agree.

Anyway, I started reading this book. Who would have thought it's about cities? So far it's pretty neat.

E Dukes (ecdukes) | 4 comments Just finally started it. Not sure if I'm a huge fan thus far, but am going to follow through. Someone in my workshop really talked up "If On a Winter's Night a Traveler" and the excerpt looked interesting, so we shall see.
Maybe a bit early, but I suggest we read The Poisonwood Bible next. Looks schweeeeeet.

Yeah, I kinda felt the whole cities idea was a bit overdone. I thin I got the general message the book was trying to send, but all the descriptions to get to it didn't seem that necessary. I do think If On a Winter's Night a Traveler may be a better story by Calvino.

The Poisonwood Bible seems kinda interesting, I'm currently reading more Asimov waiting for you guys to finish this book up and move on to the next :P.
