Thanks, your comparison is great!

I also liked the refrence to other books, that gave me the chills and smiles (depending on the book). I'm glad I have Song of Susannah ready to go, maybe I catch up with the discussion. By the way; where is March read?

It blew me away when (view spoiler)

I found it interesting that, like Wizards and Glass, this book also contained a large "back story", which given the connection to a certain other SK book, was a real treat.
Also, if you read Wind Through The Keyhole in-between W&G and WotC it means that after Dot3, you have three books in a row which, to varying degrees, do not heavily feature our ka-tet.
Anyway, really looking forward to getting started now on Song of Susannah, but sad that my journey to the Dark Tower is getting closer to the end.

I mean it's been done before, and King is better than that. :-)
I've been using "Dark Tower lingo" with an online friend who's also a fan, LOL. That series will stick with me no matter what; I'll take it to the grave.
I never saw Lost so I don't know if it influenced the show. "I cry your pardon". :-)

There is the characters finding odd coincidences and outright shocking revelations about themselves and their actual places in their perceived reality. It should also be noted that King and the LOST writers/producers took great pains to have these characters have an emotional investment for their audience/readers.
The same characters ultimately discovering that supernatural forces beyond their comprehension and somewhat beyond their control are locked in an ultimate struggle of a power that could affect the world as they know it.
Shady corporations that do unspeakable things in order to gain control of this power.
The characters often reading and admiring books...one episode was a flashback about the Hanso Corp. featured a Book Club meeting, with the members about to discuss a King novel!
For those who have not seen the show or read the of Dark Tower, I will give assurances that the similarities more or less end here. Neither one ends their sagas the same way.
