Pitticus Lore could be #4, I think.

What? Pittacus Lore is an elder. He's about 500 years old or something. And no one knows where he is.
I bet 'Pittaus Lore' is on Earth and makes a cameo in future books. Mark my words, he will be an important character later on in the series :)
hmmm...that's what i thought. he'll definitely features somewhere in the books.

I'd bet he'll be a very interesting, probably quite eccentric, character.
Kind of like Lemony Snicket in the series of unfortunate events books. Although they weren't written in first person.
Great thought Missme! I definitely agree with that.
He could be a sort of Dumbledore-ish character in the later books? A cross between Lemony Snicket and Albus Dumbledore-I would put money on that.

A Dumbledorish character like a mentor? But yeah, I could totally see a Lemony Snicket Albus Dumbledore Cross.Does anyone else get the feeling that all the cepans will die?
Um....maybe.
I honestly haven't thought of that. It would be cool if one of the Lorics was dead, but the Cepan somehow lived, and started helping the rest...I have a feeling something like that could happen in the future?

It's possible...I just noticed that anyone who has met the Mogodorians no longer has a Cepan. There's six Garde left, but only four Cepans, and they have yet to meet with danger.
I think the reason that they always die is because they are trying to protect their Garde. They are hoping to buy them at least a sliver of time.
Yeah true. Okay I was looking at the second book(The Power of Six) and I was reading the description and it said this: They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They tried to catch Number Four in Ohio and failed.
I am Number Seven. One of six still alive.
And I'm ready to fight.

I liked the book mostly for the whole Sci-fy part. The love story seemed to predictable and so did the whole blending in thing. Blending in never works, why don't they realize that?! To me it seemed like a cross between Twilight and Superman. What are others thoughts?
yeah i liked the book for the sci-fi part. the love story was a bit too twilighty i guess!
lol :P it's not as if he did a very good job of blending in!

it was a bit twilighty as in a bit too predictable. i dont know exactly what it was but something about it...
I don't see the Twilight connection AT ALL (which is a very good thing) but the Superman one is totally there.
Yeah Twilight is WAY different. I can see Fallen as twilighty-ish but not #4.
i dunno. i felt that something was lacking. i dunno what though!
hmmm...i didnt exactly like Fallen!

Did everyone else see the Bernie Koasler (sp?) twist coming, or am I the only one who was not surprised.
I didnt pick it as the thing from the other spaceship, but I knew all along it was an alien of some sort.
To tell the truth, I thought it was an evil alien in disguise, and was going to turn into a Mogodorian whilst #4 was asleep!

Yeah i saw it coming. I kinda figured it was friendly since it was following #4 around, kinda like a guard/protector.
I read the beginning of the power of 6, too, and that has number four in it.

Okay I actually agree with Razia -- the romance was 'cute' at times... but at some points John was saying "it's been 4 hours and I can't stand not being around her". The authors didn't put TOO much of that in the book, thankfully, but it was definitely a little corny, like Sheneise said. I know Sarah played a big part in the story, but I think I was mostly reading for the sci-fi, and the action and things like that. At least it wasn't as bad as Halo. Although, I'm really looking forward to the second installment of this series. This book was pure genius.
The Power of 6 is in the back of my copy of I am Number 4.

I thought it was really obvious that he was some sort of alien. I was afraid of the Mogodorian bit too. He didn't come from the other ship though; he was on the same ship with the 19 refugees.
I didn't take part in the book discussion, but I started and finished it yesterday. I lovcd it! Of course, I knew the story line from seeing the movie with my sister.
so did you like the book or movie better?? i can't watch a movie and then read the book. for some reason i cant judge which is better!!!
It's a really tough call. They were both so good! But I think I like the book. I still love the movie though!
Oh and I totally forgot to comment on the Bernie Kosar thing. I'm not sure why, but I totally figured out that something was up with Bernie ever since he showed up at the lockers in front of John and kept following him, although I didn't connect him with the gecko from the beginning until way late in the book (I totally forgot about it, T_T)I have to say that the book was 10x better than the movie. I know that they can't put EVERYTHING in the movie, or it'd be like a 10 hour movie, but I did not like how they handled the Henri situation in the MIDDLE of the movie. That made me upset. And I felt that the end was mega-rushed and it didn't seem very significant, although I can't entirely blame the movie makers... in the book the ending scene was very rushed as well. But I still love the book a lot :]
yeah...i completely forgot abut the lizard. i didnt even make the connection till the book mentioned it!
i HATED Henris death. very unexpected.
the battle was very rushed in the book so there was not much they could do but they still stuffed it up!

I finally finished I Am Number Four! (A little late I might add.) But better late then never!I thought this book was very well written. It was perfectly balnced between the Romance, Action, and Humor. My favorite character would probably be Bernie Faso because he saves John(Four) in the end. And I think that the movie messed up Henri's death big time. In the book it was so much more heroic and deep than in the movie. It was an AWESOME book and I hope to re-read it a lot!
YESS!!! you finally got it and finished it!!!!
yeah...i agree it was AWESOME! except for a few things which i mentioned earlier. BERNIE KOSAR FTW!

I loved the book. The movie was very close to the book so I was happy with the movie too. ^__________^ There is this site that they gave a preview of The power of six.
It is actually pretty good. I only understand the potential within it was totally ruined because is has too much realism and no fantasy/magic/scifi!
I do not think I would keep reading Lorien's Legacies, as much as the writing was beautiful and the names sounds really good. But I would absolutely not read the sequels.
