Sometimes it's just easier to go for the calm, nice guy ;) I don't know that Jem will end up the "friend" though. It sounds like he and Tessa get a little cozy in Clockwork Prince. Also..I feel like this love triangle can only end in tragedy. Not just one of the guys standing by, defeated and the "friend." Maybe Jem will die (though seems a bit obvious) or Will will completely self distruct. We'll see...

Oh no Cassie better find a cure for Jem! Jem is soo sweet!!! It would be devastating if he died! He has so many fans. But I honestly cant see how Tessa can choose one of them without breaking the heart of the other. I just hope it doesn't have too much heartbreak.

I love Jem for his understanding nature and his strange beauty. Will and Jace are Herondales so they are alike so I'd say I like them equally. Jace is #1 in Mortal Instruments but Jem is #1 for me in Infernal Devices.
Jem's like right up there with Jace for me :)
Jem is nicer than Jace and Will combine. Anyway when I was first reading CA I was like "I didn't think it was possible, but Will is more of a 'butt' than Jace and that's saying something." Lets face it both of these characters can easily be disliked if they didn't have a reason for their behavior. I guess I would prefer Jace over Will, the lesser of two evils. Not that I hate these characters tho..they just annoy me sometimes when I'm not laughing at their antics
I know it's because they are so snarky. Jace and Will can both do equally nice things. It's just Will isn't being like Jace where he softened to Clary as soon as he saw her. Will is like a brick wall even with Tessa. Tessa just wants to get him. Clary read him like a book as she auickly met him. Jem is a diffrent kind of guy. He is witty but kind. Happy medium.
Someone said Jem will die but no that can't happen. We have to hope he'll survive. He can't die. It will feel to sad, really.
Okay the prologue of CP made me fall in love with Will some more, but Jace is my favourite fictional crush ever so, he's still my number 1, but I definately think the love triangle in ID is so much harded to pick between, I love Jem and Will, for completely different reasons. Simon got way hotter in Cofa too... just glad they're fictional and I can love them all!

I don' think it really matter's if Jace has a british or US accent in he movie- he didn't move to America untill he was 10 so he wouldn't have a strong American accent either.
Heard on Mortal Instruments wikia that Tessa might be half-demon, some human and a bit shadowhunter. Her mother was probably an unclaimed half-shadowhunter. Best guess. In Clockwork Prince we'll find out for sure.
Yeah I believe that Jem will survive... he has too... there is no way I'm letting myself think he might die. I think I'll throw a humungous tantrum and probably refuse to read more...

I totally believe in speculating and creating (sometimes wild) theories, but I reeally don't think Tessa has any Shadowhunter blood, doesn't seem possible.

Simon is half-shadowhunter and it seems shadowhunter blood mixed with other downworlders or demons makes them stronger. In Sebastian the demon blood in him is said to be dominant but in species he's seen as a shadowhunter still.Thanks, daylighter for agreeing with me.
Well, Simon isn't technically half shadowhunter..but yes he has some angel/shadowhunter blood in him now. And seeing as Tessa doesn't drink blood... I think mostly what your saying makes sense, it's just that I don't see how she could've gotten shadowhunter blood, do you? It honestly doesn't seem possible. Of course you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just giving mine.
I love making assumptions, who knows what Tessa is?. I want to read Clockwork Prince with the beautiful Jem to find answers, finally.

They speak english..it definitely would've said in CoG if it were anything different. But..I wonder why that is? if there are Shadowhunters there who are originally from all over the world... question for Cassie right there.

I kinda wish Clare hadn't made the clockwork series like that tho . . . I mean she could have used those characters but . . . The plot is exactly like The Instruments . . . With maybe a slight difference . Considering the time frame . But still . I made the connections with the characters as soon as i read about them . :/ Kind of a HUGE let down . <|3 But i still do love both series .

I dunno, although they have similarities I don't agree the plot is exactly the same, and yeah jace and will seem similar too but will is on a whole other level of jerkness than jace
