I haven't been able to read it yet. I'm broke and the library hasn't even ordered it yet. :(

Naomi I know just how you feel, that's happened to me with many books :( luckily my mom actually bought this for me. I hope you get to read it soon!I really enjoyed it...I won't give spoilers, but the parts that I was disappointed about had to do with Jace. I think maybe having months and months to think about it raised my expectations too high for certain things...

I totally agree. I guess I thought it would be as good as the others or better ... but I just didn't feel that it was at all. :(
I like the mortal instruments more than clockwork angle, but i like will more than jace... (i know im the minority) Jace just seemed whiny to me through the series. jace, i get it, you childhood was creepy and disturbing, but i LOVE (i still love jace, just like will more) you, but get therapy! i love that will acts like a cocky a-hole, but he is still sweet at times and dosent dwell on his past or feel sorry for himself (reasons jace makes me mad. still love him tho....)
Hahaha basically all throughout city of fallen angels i was yelling, "Jace get therapy!!"I do have to disagree with one thing though, I feel that Will's past and whatever happened in it is the whole reason for who he is.

I'd have to agree about Will. Yea same in CoFA I was like, Jace, get a grip man! I just didn't understand why it had to be like that for them throughout the entire book.
I know that's what disappointed me..I was like, they're not siblings anymore, at least that'll be one happy aspect of the book...oh..nevermind... but I think that city of lost souls will be better, they're relationship problems cant extend into that..and I know the ending was horrible with Sebastian, but it was actually really good with Jace and Clary...
Yea but now I'm worried sick about Jace and I'm like, for once can't something go right for him? Can't things go back, or just to normal for him and Clary. Can't the problems be someone else's, the villains etc....? It just sucks!
If there's no conflict then there's no story..that's what Cassie said. I just hope there are some happy times in CoLS!
Well I guess so I just felt that you know they could be minor conflicts and have someone else having major conflicts ... have a villain who they're fighting but isn't actually them destroying themselves ... if you know what I mean
Yeah I do know...It's like, yes they're the main characters so obviously whatever happens is going to affect them, but does it really have to affect their relationship..? :( that's how I feel
I enjoyed it, and it had some funny moments. I just didn't feel it was quite in the same league as the others. I was really surprised at the lack of hilarious moments ... especially from Jace... Though this bit did make me laugh'Do you want to see a photo of Magnus and Alec in Berlin' Jace asked
'Not really' said Simon
'Magnus is wearing a lederhosen' said Jace
'And yet, still no' - Simon
(might not be word for word as I don't have the book with me at the moment.)
Haha that was good..I think my favorite things were all the things Jace would say, and Simon's reaction to it. (Not everything he said was funny, Simon sort of made it funny.)
I know exactly what you mean.Or when Simon is talking to Kyle (don't want to give anything away) and says:
I guess you're going as my date said Simon
I secure enough in my masculinity to accept - Kyle :D
Made me laugh!
I know!!! I was re-reading part of CoFA today, and I decided Simon and Kyle are so hilarious and cute..(don't take that in the wrong way..) Anyway, Jace-Simon-Kyle banter reeally saved the humor situation in the book
Yea it did help a lot. I was still really surprised and disappointed about the lack of sarcasm from Jace.
I know, that's what everyone's saying. I guess it makes sense what with everything going on with him..and he does have to evolve as a character..but yeah I totally know what you mean. Poor kid and his identity crisus...
Okay awesome as long as what happened in CoFa at the end ... doesn't harm him in any permanent way and it's reversible what happened.
What happened will be resolved.. I doubt he'll ever be the same..but I know he'll be okay eventually.
Gah! People keep hinting at things on CoFA. D; But I should be getting it soon. xD Babysitting every night gives you $$. xD
Sorry, don't mean to ruin it for you...but rememberu there are spoilers all over this group. I had to just avoid going on goodreads till I was done with it.
i totally think we havent read enough about will to judge yet but either way...my heart is with JACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, there's nothing too spoilery for me, it's just adding to my suspense. I should be getting it tomorrow!!!!
Katherine wrote: "Sorry, don't mean to ruin it for you...but rememberu there are spoilers all over this group. I didn't go on goodreads til after I read it because people starting hinting at stuff so I decided I'd just stay away til I was finished. :)
lolz. sometimes I do that, but often I don't know when I'll be able to get the book, so I get really behind in the group. :P
I pre-ordered it on my kindle and was up reading the moment i got it. It was good, but kinda disappoiting

Claire wrote: "I pre-ordered it on my kindle and was up reading the moment i got it. It was good, but kinda disappoiting"Yea I was pretty disappointed! Ooo I just got a Kindle for my birthday! :)
I'm about half-way through. It's good. xD I would be done if I didn't have a billion other also awesome books that I'm half-way through...
I love reading multiple books at once..at times it gets overwhelming though! although certain books require my complete focus.
I'm actually really enjoying it. More that I would have thought from your guys's comments. lol :P I think it's because I'm reading through it more slowly and therefore taking things in differently... maybe. lolz. xD
Well hey I did love the book..there are just always things in books that you don't like, just like with the people in your life. I do agree that it can be a complete different experience reading things over time, than just sort of swallowing it..
That's true. Sometimes I don't like how the author wrote a character or what they did, but I still like the book. That makes sense. xDIt's interesting because it actually gives a different feeling to a book to read it slower. The same things happen, but... idk I think maybe you just have more time to digest it. xD
And yeah I feel with everything that you love in life, there are parts you don't like, or agree with! :)
