Midkemia will be around a while, but the Riftwar series is ending after I turn in the next one. The Tsurani are "generically" Asian, not specifically Japanese (Chinese politics, Japanese social systems, Korean fashion, etc) with some Aztec windowdressing and Zulu military organization. I just wanted them to be markedly non-Western/Northern feudal European.

My husband and I are both avid fans of much of Raymond Feist's work, including Pug in the Magician. What I love about his books isn't only the world building, but most importantly his character development. This thread had made we want to find the time to get back and read them all again.
