If Damen and Ever's love was forced than why didn't Ever choose Jude when she could?

thanx but I wish that there would be Jude and Ever that would make things more interesting

Hi Natz-
Riley blossomed all on her own. She just kept showing up and I kept letting her because she was so much fun to have around, and I was sad to let her go! So it's been really fun to giver her her own series!

Kash-
Ever doesn't have a relationship with Roman, you meant Damen, right?
As for the rest of your question, I have to write the story the way it needs to be written, and while Ever and Damen's relationship is an extremely important driving force, there is way more at stake than just that. Everything that happens in the series is leading to Ever's ultimate destiny which will be revealed in EVERLASTING, and Summerland is an integral part of that.
It's nice when characters are happy and in love--but, you can't make an entire story about people who are happy all the time, it would get extremely boring! All stories are about transformation, overcoming conflict and obstacles in order to become a better, stronger, person--without it, well, you end up with a really long Hallmark card!

Hi Anny-
Um, who said it was forced?? I'm not really sure where you got that. Their love was never forced.

You just became my favorite author. :D I dislike romance novels because they're always happy, and Evermore was absolutely incredible because there was so much more intrigue and plot twists.

Oh I knew how it feels when you lose your closest friend.
:( It's not fun.
But I love these books soo much!
I feel like Damen's the one that messes up most of the time than Ever does. Because he's the one struggling w/ how Ever see's him and working hard to keep her happy. But I love Damen. He's sooo sweet!!!! :)
Taylor wrote: "Why did you make it so that Haven was no longer Ever's best friend. I mean does that mean Mile's is her best friend?"
Hi Taylor-
Haven was a troubled soul from the start. She always wanted to be Ever's friend, but her jealousy and unhappiness often got it in the way. I thought it would be interesting to see what would happen if someone like Haven got a hold of that kind of immortal power--and their friendship changed because of it.
As for Ever's best friends, she counts Miles, Damen, Jude, and Ava among them, she really doesn't distinguish between them.

Jamie-
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that-- I've been there too, more than once, which is part of why I thought it would be interesting to explore this.
As for Damen, he's so burdened with guilt about his past, and for making Ever immortal and thereby ensuring she'll never see her family again and subjecting her to the hell of the Shadowland. He just wants her to be happy--and after 600 years of living he knows all too well that the most important thing we have is our love for each other.

How did u come up w/ these characters? I love Miles!!! I love his upbeat personality! But how did you get Damen and Ever and Haven and this whole story together?

When Roman did whatever he did to Damen in Blue Moon why did Damen suddenly obtain an aura? Why doesn't he usually have one? Also, why could Ever read his mind all of a sudden? Does he usually block her?
BTW I think you are a wonderful writer. :) Thanks for doing the Q&A with everyone.
Hi Lisarenee-
Thanks for stopping by!
Okay, as for your questions:
Damen's aura- Immortals don't have aura's. Damen only obtained one because Roman was slowly poisoning him which caused his immortality to fade, making him mortal again.
Ever could read his mind because he was losing his immortal powers and could no longer shield his thoughts.
Hope that helps!
:)

Since Damen made Ever immortal when he saved her after her accident why didn't she need to drink the immortal juice? What happens if an immortal stops drinking the juice? Do they age or would they become mortal again?
Also, do all immortals have the same powers or are there some variances with them?
Somewhat silly question. I hope you don't mind. Some friends and I were discussing the difference between paranormal and supernatural and were wondering what one of your immortals would be classified as. Would it be paranormal (I'm guessing no), supernatural (unsure about this one since there is an explanation to their longevity) or something else? Maybe an altered human?

Erm.. well I'm not sure whether tis is right or not, but I think that once you drink the elixer for the first time, you can survive 150 years without drinking anymore elixer. After that though, if you don't drink it, you age quickly suddenly. Am I right?
Alyson,
Once a person is sent to the shadowland, can they ever come back?
thanks,
:D x

Hi Lisarenee-
What Naomi said (below)- an immortal can stay young for 150 years with just one drink of the juice. Then they begin to age until they drink again.
All immortals have similar powers- strength & speed- for example.
I think paranormal and supernatural are interchangeable. They are both about things that exist outside of the ordinary.

Thank you Alyson,
Will you ever come over to The Gold Coast, Australia? I've just moved here from England.
