Same title, different punctation

Mrs Miniver/Mrs. Miniver is showing up as 2 distinct titles.
What are the rules for punctuation in a *title*? (I've read the rules for author names).

They should be combined, but the auto-combiner won't do it.

Yes, but how? Should I delete the full stop in one set or add it to the other set?

There's no reason to edit either. You can combine them (with the combine screen) even if the two titles are very different.
