Amen. My kids even like it, which isn't that hard to understand when you think about it. I always thought the Ramones should've had their own cartoon show.

I miss 'em...

My memory pulsates with tons of trivia and life events, all of it completely useless. Unfortunately I struggle with simple algebra, which means my daughters are SOL when it comes to homework.

Regrettably, I never saw the great Frank Zappa. Jonesy and Coop saw him at Cobo Hall around Summer 1974(?), but I was in Reno visiting my aunt at that time. I do remember they said Frampton's Camel and Tom Waits(!) opened. According to Jonesy and Coop, Zappa could play guitar a little bit.

Another major regret: getting thrown out of St. Andrew's Hall at a Wall of Voodoo show after Eddy tried to get up on stage during opener Belinda Carlisle's set. Never had another chance to see Wall of Voodoo...

Never liked ZZ Top. Clark, have you ever watched the TV show Bones?

I have not. Any good?

message 1165: by [deleted user] (new)

I like it, it's a little over the top, but quite funny in parts. What made me think of it is that one of the bearded ZZ Top guys does regular guest spots as one of the regular (best friend to the main character) character's dad. He plays the part as himself. Mostly he comes on and scares the crap out of her boyfriend(s).

message 1166: by [deleted user] (new)

It's on Netflix for streaming, so no effort.

He's yet to cotton to the fact that the pelvic thrusts no longer drive 'em insane, but "What's New Pussycat?" is still alright in my book.

Ohhh, I love The Kinks. Reminds me of this boyfriend my older sister had when I was a wee girl. I had such a crush on him! I used to bake him cookies. He was always playing The Kinks music. *sigh*

Yeah, there's no denying A.W.'s talent, but she just put me off. I was never a fan. But C.B.R, she's just such a doll on top of talent.
