I remember the shitstorm that went down when this song was released "back in the day." How dare a "punk" band go disco?

"Copperhead Road" - Steve Earle

First song to blast its way out of the new speakers in my brand new car. The saleswoman and I cranked it up and danced, much to the amusement of a Muslim woman waiting with her family to buy a car.

Whoopeeee! It's such a blessing to be able to go out and buy myself a car of my own choosing. That Muslim woman was really impressed by it. She was grinning her head off at the novelty of a woman purchasing her own vehicle. Not a man in sight. My saleswoman was grinning as well.

Check this video and notice not only the bad ass playing, but the kid's got a Millennium Falcon on his end table!

HOLY CRAP! Those kids are great! :)

They say the name of the band came from when the youngest one was learning to play the banjo. It was bigger than him and too heavy, so he'd lay down to play it.

Cute. :) How'd you find out about them?
"Changed the Locks" - Lucinda Williams

That's one of my favorite angry songs. On the version I have, she sounds kind of drunk and pissed off.

Drunk and pissed off are the components of any great song.
