After reading reviews on Graceling the people who rated it low had two main complaints...
1. They thought that the author tried to make Katsa a "strong woman" but instead made her a pushy. To quote one review "It feels like in order for Katsa to be strong, she has to be WORSE than the nastiest of macho-men. Being an angry *itch doesn't give someone a strong constitution or character. If anything, it's indicative of weakness."
2. The other complaint was that the romance scene with PO felt dirty and cheap.

My questions then are
1. Would you describe Katsa as a "strong woman" and if so what makes her strong? Do you find her hard to like? How did your opinion of her change as the book continued?
2. What is your reaction to the love scene in the woods with Po? Did you find it to be cheap? Obviously, most of us on here are Christians..was it hard to read about their relationship and like it after that?
