Hina Kimberly,

Yes, there you said it yourself it's unbelievable, it doesn't have any reality to it, that's why I wasn't buying anything that really happened, hence why I don't like the series.

I found JKR's series fascinating and simply magical, I couldn't put it down. Twilight felt like a bore to me I had to force myself to go on.

I can see we arn't going to change each others minds, but it is nice to see that there are a few people who believe strongly in it, for the right reasons of course. ;)

Em The media is using a simile you see. They like comparing two unlike using the words like or as.

Love Emily~

Thalia Having read both I can say there is little comparison in the works themselves. I do believe the comparison comes as to the excitement each new novel exacted on the public. There aren't many books that can claim to have fans waiting in line to be the first to get their hungry little hands on it as was the case with both of these series. Three cheers for getting worked up over a book!

Andre and Sophie Harry Potter was... incredible. I mean Twilight was good but the writing was terrible. Harry Potter has a good story AND good writing. They both had cute guys in the movies. But the cute guys in Harry Potter were also British. But then again Robert was British... and also in Harry Potter. Ugh! I need to think about this...

Sophie Never ever. HP is just a work of genius, that we'll all remember when we're old and half-dead. Twilight's nice... yeah but: be honest. Do we all still know the plot of it and new moon & co.? No. We don't. And I think that's because it's in the first moment the best story you've ever read and then... then you read other things and time goes on and when someone asks you about twilight you just can tell him or her that it's a love story between a vampire and a naive girl. And: that's what it is. HP got, gets and will always get our hearts beating, whatever un-knowing people are saying. You read his story and you've lost. He's in your heart and he'll always be. - that's how I see this case. And noone will change my opinion 'bout that. Honestly.

Kaylynn Eiler I haven't read Harry Potter but I've watched the movies and they're awesome. I've read the Twilight series and seen the movies and they're awesome too. But if I had to pick one, I would choose the Twilight series.

Hina I think people get put off by the long books in the Harry Potter series, but it really isn't so. I know that JK Rowling's work isn't entirely original, but is a masterpiece. I've grown up with Harry and it has just been an amazing, amazing experience. I fell in love with reading because of the series and because of that I'm eternally grateful to her.

Hina Kaylnn,

At least give the books a shot, just try and read them and trust me the books are way better than the films. (:

I think they're pretty decent, well except the Half Blood Prince. That one was terrible. They're going to release some of the previous movies again, but in 3D. I'll be pretty sad when the movies end.

I meant the twilight-movies... breaking dawn's still the last, I think? *hope* xD HP rocks! O_o (I'm crazy, I know...) Yeah. Half-Blood Prince was horrible. And The Order Of The Phoenix, too. All those cool things which had had to do with Quidditch weren't in it >.<

message 829: by Sophie (last edited Apr 24, 2011 10:49AM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

Sophie I'm really sorry... but confusing people is one of my only hobbies^^ NO. That was my failt, I just forgot to mention that, didn't think about that the last HP movie's also coming out soon... in Germany it's still a while... so... *confusing myself* <-- I'll stop now, I think.

message 830: by Hina (new) - rated it 1 star

Hina Oh right. Lol. I thought you meant the Harry Potter movies. I agree. I only saw the first one and that was just absolutely awful, so I stopped there.

I liked OotP, especially the introduction to Luna and Bellatrix. They are lovely. Half Blood Prince has got to be the worst. Ginny. Oh gosh. She's my least favourite character.

And I thought we were talking about twilight^^ Yeah, I saw twilight & new moon and then... No. You all don't want to know what I almost did. *ahem* Yeah, Luna & Bella... that were just nice. But I missed "Weasley's our king" in the movie :D Hmmm... if you ask me I do like Cho not better. And if I had to choose between them, I'd take Ginny. Honestly.

message 832: by Hina (new) - rated it 1 star

Hina Sophie,

Haha. Lol. First I started talking about Harry Potter then Twilight then back to Harry Potter. xD I confuse people a lot too. Oh and when's DH Part 2 coming out in Germany?

Lol. I don't think I'll see anymore Twilight movies. YES. WEASLEY IS OUR KING<33 I completely forgot about that. That was an epic part in the book. I hate Cho too, but Ginny just gets on my nerves so much that I would take Cho. xD

Yeah - we're both a bit confusing, I see ;D Umm... July? (I'm almost crying now... bahaaa) No, me won't see any of this - what did I say? Rubbish? again^^ I hate Cho so much that I couldn't even think of taking her. And: it's "Harry's" decision. I meant J.K.'s :DD

WEASLEY IS OUR KING! *___*

message 834: by Hina (new) - rated it 1 star

Hina Yes, lol. :D Ah, it's releasing in the UK in June. But I guess the later it is the longer the series of films will last for you. (:

I guess it's because of Cho's crying and her sense of taste. She takes Harry to this lovey dovey teashop (teashops are awesome though). But Ginny! Harry is too good for her! She just think she's actually all that with her being insanely popular. We don't even read much about her and then BANG. In Half Blood Prince she just...urggh.

YES HE IS!

Well, THAT'S a good point... but I would really like to see it NOW, you see?
Yeah... maybe. And teashops are very awesome though - exept THIS one. All those pink, fluffy things... Uahh. Actually I think she exploids Harry a bit. He's just so... soft-hearted that he can't resist her beautiful eyes^^ I mean: she still loves Cedric, doesn't she? She cries when she sees his photograph or Harry starts to talk abot him... that is... I don't know the word in English... something like... un-fair but a number bigger xD... more sentimental... you get it? *don't believing* (no idea how to explain oO)

AND HOW HE IS!

message 839: by Kallan (new) - rated it 2 stars

Kallan I am SO sick of Harry Potter and Twilight being compared. They are NOTHING alike. Yes, I prefer Harry Potter by an extremely large margin to Twilight, but I still don't understand why these two series are being lumped together. The only thing they have in common is that they are both fantasy. Other than that, they are TOTALLY different books.

Thank God. To shallow - what else? In one moment I knew exactly what I wanted to write and then... the word was GONE :D It's hard to write English in holidays... in English class it's much easier^^
Yes, I love teashops. I love them so much! But German are very different to British, I think so.
Huff-Puff. Do this mean that... that I... I have to... to wait any... lo-longer? I'm going to die! Really.

I think people are comparing the two, because Twilight is supposed to be the 'next big thing' after Harry Potter. Many disagree, hence the whole war between Twilight and Harry Potter.
