I agree with everything in this post. Although he's better than Alex Pettyfer would've been.

I wouldn't. By this point all anyone sees is Alex Pettyfer, not the character.

I think Alex Pettyfer would have been amazing as Jace!! He is soo dreamy! And he has the exact description practically as Jace. Light blonde hair, muscles, tan...sigh...he's cute! But unfortunately they have chosen that guy from "Sweeney Todd" and the "Twilight Saga" (he played Caius from the Volturi) to play Jace I heard. I've read quite a few articles about him getting the role, so I think it's true. I think he's ok looking, but not what I wanted Jace to look like.

They were considering Emma Roberts to play Clary, I am SOOOOOO glad she didn't get the part, because she does NOT look at all how I imagined Clary to look. Hollywood needs to get some new faces into the mix, pick someone completely new!! They definitely need to get the Red hair part!!

Alex pettyfer would be perfect for jace not the one that they have there James campbell bower or whatever and City of Bones was an awesome book!!!!

When I first read this thread and found out they're making a movie of that...book... I was really annoyed. Why make a movie of City of Bones when there are so many better books out there! But then I realised: if it's awful, they wont have ruined anything. And, if they don't stick to the original plotline, they might even get a good movie out of it!

It's probably dangerous to say that to so many obvious fans, but I'll risk it...please don't murder me.

I think they should let the ones who read the books to select the characters. For example they would pick their favorite three or five people and do a poll. We would choose who we think is best and the person with the most votes win.

Lena Headey is great for the character of Jocelyn and Kevin Zegers seems to fit the part of Alec, but the casting for Jace and Clary is so wrong. I love Lily Collins but she isn't right for Clary, and I thought Jace would be a lot more mysterious looking (and a whole lot hotter). Let's just hope the movie does justice to the book.

I think the guy who played Simon looked like a Simon but I expected Jace to be more "buff" and Alex to look younger and skinnier The girl who played Isabel was good and I expected clary to have freckles and brighter hair

I didn't like it. That pretty much sums up how I feel about the movie. It seems as though they got the places and the events, and they just scrambled them up and just erased others and the ending gosh!!! If you have seen the movie then you know what I'm talking about. P.S. I guess the acting wasn't so bad
