My sister used to do that... and I do love them also. Watching the lightning flash in the sky, hearing the rolling thunder.... *sighs dreamily* It's my fav weather.... I have some cool memories of watching lightning. Plus the thunder and lightning reminds me a lot of the time where I sat out of going to the memorial day fireworks show my town does, and instead stayed inside with my sick mom.... It was freakin' awesome! They shoot them off in the HS fields, and our yard and the HS's are literally right next to eachother so it sounded like cannons were going off right outside of the house... it was pretty cool. :D

That would be awesome to watch fireworks from your backyard. Of course, I live absolutely nowhere near my school, so I clearly can't see anything they do from my yard. Lol

hehe. Well, there's a hill in the back yard though. And the small(but steep) hill has trees on it.... so it's pretty hard to see them. But you can. :P It's really cool.

I would definitely, if I had been asleep at the time, would have gotten up just to see it. Of course, if I was asleep, I might be freaking out because someone was firing cannons outside the house. That would definitely be a rude awakening.

Yeah.... but they start the fireworks(for Memorial Day) around 8 to 8:30... so... you wouldn't really be asleep anyway. hehe. But I want to go to my Grandparents for the fourth of July... My grandpa really does fire off cannons. :P It's his hobby... making cannons....

It's been raining here the last several days.... :/ A lot of flooding going on. Ground is so wet it can't hold any more water so things are completely soaked and the rivers are flooding, and entire fields and towns are getting flooded... Although the water has gone down a little, we are still supposed to get rain for the rest of the week.
