Nice one, Cody. :D Out here, if the roads can't be plowed fast enough for them to reach all the kids on the back roads, school get cancelled. White-out conditions, school is cancelled. Icy roads... just dangerous. School cancelled. lol. But that's about it....

Jasmine wrote: "OH JERKS MEANIES THATS NOT TRUE ITS CAUSE WHEN IT SNOWS IT BLIZZARDS"Lol. And what do you call a blizzard? :P
i have to admit: texans canNOT drive...i swear if it rains everyone slows down to like 15 miles per hour and it takes 3 hours to go anywhere! lol
8 inches? hahahaha. That's barely anything. Seriously, a blizzard out here is around 3 feet. Add on to that that negative temperatures and wind, and you've got a blizzard.
Ohh scary *sarcasm* on my porch right now there are several feet... and it's melting so it weighs a ton... Actually I just measured it's only about 2 feet at its deepest but earlier in the year there was about 4 and a half feet just on my deck.

krose240 wrote: "i have to admit: texans canNOT drive...i swear if it rains everyone slows down to like 15 miles per hour and it takes 3 hours to go anywhere! lol"HAHAHA! That's hysterical. Out here, we can get the permit at 15. But we have to practice for a full year, with 60 something hours of actual practice, some of it at night. So by then you've dealt with the snow, ice, etc..... you can handle just about anything. rofl.

But we got down to -40s a few weeks ago.... we only had around 2 feet of snow though....

Jasmine wrote: "8 feet not inches and the rain thing...true"You got 8 feet? O.o I find that really hard to believe.
krose240 wrote: "i have to admit: texans canNOT drive...i swear if it rains everyone slows down to like 15 miles per hour and it takes 3 hours to go anywhere! lol"Actually, now that I think about it, I think I can see why. The ground probably doesn't absorb the water fast enough, so it coats the ground and your tires can't get enough of a grip.... that's probably why everyone slows down.... That's what would happen out by Vegas when it rained, so it's probably the same out there.
mabye its hard to tell and mabye it was only our house cause the neighbors house had very little snow lol mabye they shoveled it into our back yard
Jasmine wrote: "mabye its hard to tell and mabye it was only our house cause the neighbors house had very little snow lol mabye they shoveled it into our back yard"Who knows.... it probably wasn't 8 feet though. I live way up here, and I haven't seen 8 feet of snow.... well, unless you count the mounds of snow the snow plow shoved right by our driveway... My dad got soooo mad one time because we live right by the main road in town, right by the HS(literally next door). So they have all the snowplows going by every couple hours and it shoves everything up against our house(which really is only around 1-2 feet from the road) and into our driveway..... well my dad got home from working graveyard shift and he drove into the driveway and his car got stuck on a ledge of snow the plow had left. So he went down the road and got the person in charge of the town to come and shovel our driveway.... hehe. But it's a total pain. Four of the windows(bay windows) by the road had to be replaced with bulletproof glass cause of the snow... and the road bends out of sight just a little beyond our house, and they mound all the snow in the way so we can't see a thing cause of 12 feet tall mounds of snow.... :/ totally annoying. At least we get the best view for the Memorial Day parade.... they shoot them off at the HS yard. One time I didn't go and stayed with my mum cause she wasn't feeling well, and it sounded like cannon shots. hehe. it was totally awesome. Better then going and seeing the fireworks.

That would be terrible... I live in the country... I think the plow companies have forgot about my road though it's bad...
Jasmine wrote: "ive lived in texas my intire life i dont know anything else"So you only like Texas cause you don't know how awful it is?
Ooooh. I've lived in the country.... but that road was well plowed. Buses from 2 different schools went right past it(we were like, right on the town boundaries or something like that...). Most of the roads out here are well plowed though.... I liked living out in the country. Very peaceful. But I also like being able to go somewhere and do something if I want to.... and, well, that's really hard in VT. lol.
Oh. Then your town just totally stinks, Cody. :P Like I said, roads are really well taken care of out here.... But Jasmine darling, you don't know the rest of the world. You don't know how awful it is compared to the rest. You poor little thing....
I have relatives in both Washington and Florida. lol. I've never been drawn to go visit those states..... Do you mind if I show you what prettiness you're missing out there in Texas what we have up in my state? I can post some pics....
lol. Well I just looked up Vermont Scenery on google. here's some of the pics....

((lol. that's the law school...))

((that's in my county! I think that's the road to the town next to ours, where my mom is the childrens librarian.))
