Thanks, I love Ian too. I had tears when he volunteered to stay back with the Indians. He has such positive attitude. If I ever gone thru what Geili had done, I'd need yrs in counseling.
That was funny! i have to re read the series but I'm going to wait a bit closer to the next book release
This was such a great line! Young Ian developed so wonderfully through the books. I too love him with Rachel.
I just want him happy!! He so deserves a wonderful women and family... ohhh i cannot wait to find out what his path holds :)
I loved that passage too when I read it, and since we're on the topic of Echo I had a question for anyone who has read it.****SPOILER****

When Jamie was coming back from France to the Americas (specifically back to Claire) there is some mention of him reminiscing about the last time he left France. (Now I could totally be wrong about this, I don't have the book on hand so I can't check) From what I gathered in that passage, and I read it quickly because I was anxious to see what happened when he returned to find Claire married to LJG, is that he had a lover in France before he went back to Scotland (before meeting Claire shortly after coming through the stones) and that she died or something like that. Now that has been nagging at me since I read it but I haven't really thought about going back and looking at it. But was I the only one to notice this?

(Ian) "Nay, I wouldna go wi' a whore. Not 'til it's settled between Rachel and me," he said seriously. "One way or the other. But I shallna take another woman to my bed until she tells me that I must."
"You do mean it, then," I said. "You feel... er... bethrothed to her?"
"Well, of course he does, Sassenach," Jamie said, reaching for another slice of toast. "He left her his dog."

That made me laugh out loud. :)
