Alot of us want it to be true (including me). But it isnt :( We stil dont have a Jace.
Yeah i knew it was too good to be true, i know wiki isn't reliable and i checked Cassandra's site twice but i just wished something would spontaneously appear and read "ALEX PETTYFER CAST AS JACE WAYLAND"
That would be the best thing ever!! I think I will be utterly disappointed if Alex isn't cast as Jace.Why cant they put me out of my misery and tell us who Jace is going to be?!?!?!?! I think we've waited long enough.
I know right??!! I mean I swear they're doing this on purpose. They tell us who's cast as Clary and they're probably going to slowly give one name at a time for all the other characters until the fans DIE of curiousity since Jace will be the last name out.If they cast some other random, weird guy as Jace, I'm going to petition against them.
OMG that would be horrible!!! Jace cant be last! That would really kill me...really.I think as long as the actor fits the part, I'll be good. But I would perfer for it to be Alex :)

Lol but Alex is an internet sensation when it comes to being Jace Wayland so hopefully the casting people will keep this in mind :D

I know. But I'm still shaking with excitement!! lolIf he does turn it down they're saying that they wont do the movie at all because they really really want Alex to play Jace. I'm still not sure how I feel about that.
Well, he didn't say they would not do it, he said they would not greenlight it which I suppose means they will have to reconsider? It should mean they REALLY want him and have listened to the loud voices of the fans.

I wanted to wait till I could have an official chat with the studio folks before I said anything, so my small contribution is: I know Alex has met with the director, Scott Stewart, several times; I know he screened Scott's movie, Priest, and loved it; I know he read the TMI books over the holidays and really liked them and liked Jace, and his representatives are negotiating making a deal for the role of Jace. At this point it's all about the deal, which really doesn't have anything to do with me, so I stand back and wait for news like the rest of you. "Cassie's webpage! People I am so excited!! After all this time it might be coming true!! *fingers crossed* :)

Is it weird that I am a grandmother and on pins and needles to find out whether or not a 20 year old is going to play a 17 year old in a movie? No, of course not......I am a Twilight Mom of course.

You are just a baby. LOL I have a 17 year old and 18 year old granddaughters. My son thinks it is quite funny that his daughters, his wife, and his mother all think the same guys are hot. He rolls his eyes when we all watch (and discuss) Damon on Vampire Diaries together. It's fun to share.

I just turned 19 too, about a month ago...well not really, my b-day was on Dec. 6 :)I know right!! Terry is like the coolest grandma ever!
One that totally bonds with the teenagers and knows exactly how we work and think ;)
It's the young at heart thing.... it is kind of nice to know what I know now and still be able to relate. It is also what books will do to draw people together no matter what their age. Twilight did that for a lot of people whether those who do not like the series want to admit it or not. That was when we all started talking books together and we all read them back in 2007, long before even talk of a movie.
That's one of the reason why I love books :D

It's amazing to see books grow.if you get me, like to read them when they were just some book on the shelf at a store, then everyone loves it and then you have it becoming a movie. Next thing you know it's a huge thing and everyone you see with something that represents the book you automatically have a like for that person! Lol get it? I remember when I would see someone with twilight-related stuff I would just say to them "oh, your awesome!" or "Edward's better!!" LOL

Oh, I agree. I have found more new friends through Twilight than I ever imagined would happen with simply reading a book. And that led to this love of the Mortal Instruments story - and Jace who I love more than I loved Edward! LOL
Reading is just the greatest thing ever! I swear I could start up a conversation with anyone about a book, lolI think I may love Jace more than Edward too... *gasp* I thought I'd never see the day *shakes head miserably*.... Wait, nope! I love them both the same, but for different reasons :D lol

I loved Edward until Rob P killed my book image Edward. I just can't get it back. That is one reason why it is so important to me that they cast Alex as Jace. I had never heard of Alex but the first time I saw his picture I recognized that he was Jace! Love Jem too.
